New Players

My friend from college has just tried to create an account wiht cantr, because I reccomended the game. But for some reason, when he tried to register, it said that his email was already in the application process. Which is a lie, because he had not heard of the game until today, and why would anyone know both his personal and school email addresses. We tried it twice, once at a uwc.net address and once at a yahoo.com address, but neither worked.

What is going on? cna you fix this? he really wants to play.

1st, has he replied to the message he was sent? If not, he should do so and explain the situation. The PD will assess the situation and give him further instructions.

umm, i don't think he got any email because each time he tried to creat an account, the email was already being used.

But I'll check with him.

I tried not to oppen a new post for my newbie question so i think this post may be appropirate...

I tried to create an account 3 days ago i am still waiting at the acception process... :cry:

I want to learn generally how long new players wait for acceptance... :?:

Any application that had been submitted would have been refused or accepted by now. You've likely been refused or accepted, but perhaps have given the wrong e-mail address. You can reapply though.

Or PM somone on the PD with the e-mail you used to sign up with, so they can check to see if your account does exist.

Pd has actually been pretty slow in processing lately I believe, just be patient and take some time to read the forums to get to know the game.

I am reading the forums and the FAQs and the history for some time and i really want to be a part of it :wink:

But as a good RP player i will think this as a birth occation.. So we all need to wait almost 9,5 months right :wink:

In order to face with the world ...

So i will wait and will not put pressure on the PD ... i guess they have a lot of job to do... this is a huge community...

Gyrus, I do not know what has happened with your application, but there is no record of your account, nor of any rejection of your application. Please apply again.

This actually is not the case. Applications are processed several times a day, often on an ongoing basis. It is very rare that an application sits for more than a few hours. (I have to get off the computer sometimes :wink:

The exact same thing happened to me when I made my account not too long ago; I got the e-mail but my characters weren't approved and there was no record of my application. The only reason I could think of was that it might be because I tried to register from the paranoid college computer and it may have blocked something important.

Anyway, Oasis was able to straighten it out for me, so hopefully you'll get to play soon too.

But ... I do not have an email in my yazganugur@gmail.com account and i can not login because i do not know my ID ...

Account found, problem solved. Sorry for the inconvenience, Gyrus. I don't know what the problem was. The account did not show up when I looked yesterday, but there it was today. *shrugs*

I hope you enjoy the game, after all the trouble you've had getting started. :wink:

Brain-Muffin and PD did a lot for me ... As i said to Brain-Muffin this is something like giving a birth to a baby.. it takes 9,5 months.. mine took only 4 days :wink:

... I also learned a lot by reading the forum :shock:
