Boat Locks

Postby Surly » Wed May 04, 2005 4:03 pm

Okay, how do you build a boat lock? I always thought they were vehicle locks, but now when I try it says "You must be inside a vehicle to do this" or words to that effect. The lock was broken off, and I want to build a new one. Maybe that affects it, I don't know...

What do I do? Can I not lock this boat?

I could be wrong, but I think you have to be docked to start a lock on a boat. You can work on it after you undock, but must be on land (or in a harbour) to start one.

Ah... That might well be the answer.

Thanks, Oasis!

She is correct. There is some problem where you can not create a lock on a boat if the boat is not docked (The boat doesn't register as a "vehicle" when not docked, I... guess...)

So, you need to dock first, unfortunately.

Not a problem really. Thanks for the help though...
