You'd be very surprised how long it took to compile everything, and keep adding, changing and modifying it is. It's time consuming and very tedious work. Not until you undertake such a task/study over this long period of time. For instance, moving 95 Treefeather locations into HTML format manually. Or calculating the best direction from one port to another, using pen, protractor, compass and graph paper, when it hasn't been established yet. And by the way, the map regional/sea-accurate map of Siom Island is his work.

@ TSL and PB: If you don't like my character's work, I can do without your OOC criticisms. Tell it to Hobbes.

P.S. Hobbes got permission from Andaru to distribute the Treefeather visual (which fortunately encompasses the sea data from Rigel Starseeker) and as West said, sources everything. I would do an MLA bibliography, except that the Modern Language Association guide isn't in game.

Treefeather's map is, despite the litthe error, the most useful map IMHO as it encompasses both resource information as well as a true visual map of the differnt locations. Compulsory for sailors and walkers alike.

Treefeather and Koloff map are the best I've run across. (Of course the encyclopedia because it includes the map.) I also like that one of the blaman region that's included in the encyclopedia.

Out of all of the ones I've seen I like Koloffs best. I can make connections in his map, fairly simply, with the exception that some roads have been updated, some buildings added here and there, it's been the most beneficial to one of my characters. Even if I did once send someone off looking for hemp when there wasn't any to be found. :x

Cheers to map makers abroad. :D Now if someone could come up with a map of the sea/islands that'd be impressive.

Nitefyre, I was just busting your stones, I couldn't imagine how much walking and talking it took just to get all of those maps, let alone reprogram everything. It is good work, although a bit long.

Yeah, myself I prefer the simple graphical maps.

I don't like having to read or search through a gigantic document just to find out what town has salt.

Yea, These massive maps are all well and good, but sometimes they are too big. I like that the Treefeather Map has index numbers, because then I can easily find towns which are next to each other but are alphabetically different, but it's still a bit of a slog trying to find specific resources

I've seen people use the 'find' function of their browser to find a certain word.

On internet explorer, I think it is Ctrl+F; thus cutting down your search time.

Yeah but on maps, try seraching for "Siom", for instance. You'll come up with a bunch of exit route results, as well as Siom Forest North, etc.

To look up Siom, these maps are in alphabetical order.

I don't like having to read or search through a gigantic document just to find out what town has salt.
And that was the question I was responding to.

But then you'll also come up with results like

"Directions to salt" (from Siom), and when you're in Quillanoi, that doesnt help much.

Trust me, if there's too much in a map, the ctrl-f function is still annoying to use.

Well we were talking about maps with other information on it, and you might come across entries on how much limestone you can dig a day, what tools double it, etc.

No, we weren't. You're just prolonging a completely pointless discussion which sets your standards too high for certain maps to please you.
