I've always liked English classes . . . although I agree that sometimes books are over-analyzed. For me, some books are better understood when discussed and analyzed.

I'm younger than most of you, female, and in Topeka, Kansas. (And I've never seen a tornado, never been on a farm, and never seen a real buffalo. Though we have deer, a bobcat, coyotes, and wild turkey in our yard. The deer don't attack. ) I'm a student and a semi-obsessive violin player . . . I'm very unhappy when I have to go without practicing.

I don't listen to a lot of music, I'll take whatever's on the radio unless it's heavy metal, rap, country, or crap like that.

To be honest, my dislike for the subject stems more from the teaching method and examination system than the actual course, but they are deep rooted problems

23, female in Sunny Southern California, in the wonderful ( I love is so shove it if you don't, I don't want to hear it) USA.

Recently graduated (last June) from Santa Clara University with a major in Management Information Systems and two minors: Ancient Studies and History.

I'm work in sales at 8e6 Technologies...which is actually quite fun. Let's see, single but not really looking at the moment. I love Cantr. :-D Only wish people were awake when I can't sleep!!

Oh and in reference to a POST IN THE BEGINING OF THIS THREAD: My little brother died when he was a baby, so while I cannot begin to understand losing my own child, I have an inkling from my own feelings and watching my parents. It's funny how you tell someone and they say "I'm sorry" automatically...for me it was years ago when I was much younger and it sticks with you your whole life but I'm not as sad about it anymore, just sometimes sneaks up on you.

Considering the statement - "Southerners are as soft as sh***" is true for people in Notingham. I think you might have that one wrong! :D

Um... considering than Bristol is still technically north of where I live (in Horsham, Sussex) I dispute that comment... :P

Although obviously Sheffield is north...
