The simple fact is that the Americans came into the Great War when the B.E.F. had already broken the back of the German armed forces. And the resentment to such a cavalier attitude for the Americans was wide spread.

In the Second World War, much as it is going to hurt to hear it, the Americans did not save our butts. The Russians did, and they would have won the war without any delayed American interference.

Unless you have other examples, I would suggest researching a little deeper, and perhaps consulting sources by non-Americans...

How was russia gonna save you? They had a problem with shooting thier own men.

And as for us saving you, we spent the money to rebuild your countries. Not to mention we gave you our industrial giant. You all seem to have a bone to pick with us, but as far as i'm concerned we always seem to help you guys up when you fall down.

Jos is Dutch, and lives in Ireland. I fail to see why he'd be leading a Finnish army.

Or maybe suprise is the name of their game... hmm....

The US made WWII a dual-front war...and as you can see, WWII did wonders for Russian society.... ie mass poverty and social uprisings.

What? you're gonna say we don't like to kick ass? Obviously we do. And I'd rather be honest about how we do then to lie and try to make everything seem nice.

Well, some do I guess... but I wouldn't exactly put it as 'kick ass.' I dunno... go to war? And instead of we, say: Select Americans and the Majority of the U.S. Government.

Then, it sounds more accurate.

Don't underestimate Russia just because of the way America has portrayed them. Under the "Mother Russia" idea, the Russians were loyal by and large. And don't forget they were the first to enter Berlin, without America's help.

And you lent us the money that is true. But far from getting up on a high horse and telling me how great your country is and how you think you saved the world, maybe you should consider that if it wasn't for the isolationist policies pursued in the 20s, there might not have been a second world war.

And you help us when we fall down? Aside from those examples, do you have any more? Perhaps a patiently thought out argument that supports your case, rather than the pro-American history you seem to have been taught.

Back in the 20s/30s, you're claiming you wanted the US as your world police force.

Now, you don't want us policing the world?

Well, make up your mind :)

America put itself in the position to be part of the world's police force. But after forcing itself on negotiations... totally ignoring the wishes of the French... and enforcing the League of Nations, it then decided it didn't want to be part of it. Therefore, after creating a large ideal where they halped police the world, they ran off.

My mind is firmly made up. Unfortunately, it seems America's wasn't...

Don't even get me started on European Imperialism, which was one major influencing factor to the cause of the Great War  .

You know, I'm going to be mature for a change and stop argueing now. All it's doing is making me want to play with my gun collection.

I would argue with you people, but seeing as how you all seem to be European and whatnot, and you all seem to have a bone to pick with the US... well this can only go uphill for me.

Honestly... We probably couldn't give a rats ass what Europe wants to think of us. Or at least thats how I feel.

If you need me, I'll be shooting stuff.

The Brits may have something about outlawing guns, however. ;)

And you don't quite seem to be the states' shining star, here. :?
