Change colour of Building/Vehicles/Place names

Postby formerly known as hf » Mon Apr 25, 2005 7:15 pm

Preferably back to white (wouldn't want to disturb the old green orange an white set up...) maybe in italics - but it hurts my eyes now...

I try to scan a page along the left hand side for orange character names, but get all weirded-out by having orange all over the place now...

Links have one specific colour. I could change the colour, but character names would then change colour too ;) ...

It would be easier on the eyes actually...

Instead of going black at death perhaps a greyish colour and have the rest turned white so theres not so much orange out there!!

Unless you were to fiddle around a bit with CSS styles, or specify colour every time. It is possible...

The only way to do it, with my limited knowledge of CCS, would be to create different classes of links with different attributes for each kind of link

Let's just go for bold white then? Any objections? It contrasts and isn't painful, either. The orange is, though.

After playing for a few days with the dynamic place/building names it is an awful lot of orange, and makes for quite an awkward/confusing events page.

I think making the links the same as the text, or white bold as Nitefyre said is a good idea to make it easier to scan and read

Its good to have orange when only one type of information is that colour, but buildings, locations, people, and vehicles, all in orange, is just too crowded

I've seen a red link... what does that mean?

It's only one, and I don't really remember doing anything special. It's a place where I recently traveled to, and the first time I saw the place it was red.

I'm sure I saw a red thing too. Might have been a vehicle or building, can't remember. Can't remember where either. Sure I saw it though!
