It has always bothered me that once a building is finished you can't tell what it's made out of. Stone buildings, wooden cottages and mud huts all look the same. If you want to build an extension you don't even know what materials to gather unless you built the building yourself.

Being able to distinguish between types of buildings would help somewhat with identifying them should amnesia occur.

Yes, wood will do. Perhaps in the future we get harder to remove alternatives, but wood (no tools) will be ideal in the beginning.

Go do it now please!

...Done it yet??

What about now??

:P cheers jos, about time this came in

I feel Name Plates should really an option to rename a building , effectively like signage , what should be possible is to carve original names into the builiding material during construction

Stone, Wood and Mud all lend themselves to being carved into .
I'm not sure about Aluminium Shacks but do we have any of those ?

Interesting changes.

I like the possibilities that it provides (and yes, I was going to point out what Creepy pointed out about not being able to pointbackwards from the location page inside a structure) but all this orange is messing with my eyes.

Are there any plans to change the link color? Perhaps just make it an underlined white? And characters still orange? *shrugs*

Yup, what kinvoya said is a must have. That we could see what a building is made off. Nameplates too. Now could half the people writing to this topic go play Cantr instead since it's really silent in there? I think most of the things concerning this topic have already been said several times. GO PLAY CANTR! (I'm bored.)

Maybe orange is the new green.

But agreed on that point.

The one great use so far: Add the Key number of the building to the Name.

No more running in and out to figure out which key is which :)

What if the original builder could be able to change the name completely? It wouldn't work for dead people... but for a lot of them, I bet.
Just because you're older, smarter, stronger, more talented... doesn't mean you're BETTER.

Nah, a bad idea.

Ownership is also dynamic.
