Actually, because it was easier to figure out how to smelt (correctly) mostly...
And maybe because it was easier to smelt a little bit of by accident and discover it.

You're not really correcting him, you're more just elaborating.

We can't do everything at once. We need to wait on New Lands to place the resources and then it takes time for us to make all the objects in the database. Right now bronze is impossible to make because a certain resource does not yet exist in Cantr.

And we tirelessly keep telling you that the nonexistent resource isn't needed. That was the whole point of this entire long thread.

Stop making valid points and suggestions, Sociologist!
While perhaps you had good motives, you of all people should know that your suggestions get mutated.

And the fact that this is CANTR, and it DOESN'T have to be realistic, we could make that resource needed.

'Nuff said :)

I think that refers to a point of design philosophy.

Namely, Cantr should where possible reflect RL, as it is trying to simulate it, but we can stretch imagination where appropriate.

Not, I want to use that with this, it doesn't need it? oh well, it's Cantr...

Bit of a change of direction there, Anthony. So let me guess. Certain people whose charries own "oceanic" trading vessels been whispering in your ear? 8)

Either way, phosphorus isn't needed to make bronze.

Lmao, no, you have it all wrong.

Let's look at the manufacturing of PROPANE. It's made from gas.

(Insert laughter here)

In real life, is Propane made from gas? ...No...

For various reasons, some things are made one way, rather than their real life counterparts. Sure, it may seem that the addition of this resource to bronze making will appear that bronze will be more difficult. If you take a look at the tools you can manufacture with bronze, instead of STEEL, then you'd realise that it needs to be somewhat difficult. Not -as- difficult as steel, but difficult enough to pose some form of... difficulty.

More than 60 percent of propane comes from natural gas production. I don't know what you're talking about, unless it's the americanism of calling petrol "gas". Are you sure you're Canadian? :?

I think we should implement phosphorus in every region besides where Sociologist's characters reside in. And everytime phosphorus gets put in Sociologist's characters' inventory, it be mistakenly drawn back up into the database.

Canadians call it "gas", too.

From American Bronze's website; http://www.americanbronze.com/WhatsBronze.htm

American Bronze Website wrote:In metallurgy bronze is an alloy of copper, tin, zinc, phosphorus, and sometimes small amounts of other elements. Bronzes are harder than brasses. Most are produced by melting the copper and adding the desired amounts of tin, zinc, and other substances. The properties of the alloy depend on the proportions of its components.

So phosphorus stays. My final decision.
