Not exactly...
It makes the game longer, and slows down the killing rate, true. But, it also takes away the major way for the bad guys to die as well. What if Dragon or Rainking were the bad guys? If no one dies, then the bad guys are safe for another night.
It's a neutral decision.
The good guys give up their chance to kill a bad guy in exchange for not potentially doubling the rate of death.
You also have to consider that the rate of death is going to go by quickly should the apprentice choose to target someone during nightime. We didn't get a chance to see it in my game, and still the werewolves won...

Ok, this ain't getting nowhere. If Dragon wants to live then fine, change it so that Swymir managed to revive him. But I'll remain dead. And how can you be so sure I wasn't an evil one, using this as a plot to kill Dragon? Maybe I gave him a bigger doze but counted it wrong and ended up dying myself.

I don't know. I think timewarping is pretty dumb, if I was alive then no one had learned anything. Besides it sounds pretty much like half the people don't wanna play with me because I don't follow the concept. It will be best for all if I just quit. And if this hold-up is because of what happened and not because of nighttime people acting slowly then get things moving already! You got yourselves a surprising twist, procrastination is only taking the edge out of it. I really wish all the OOC on the last few pages wasn't said at all. It might even be good to live in the confusion of what happened, was it a suicide or a murder, of who's idea and what motives and so on.

Whats this? I go away for the weekend and you all lose focus on what's important in this game: lynching Dragonslayer

But seriously, this all seems a bit messed up. when I left on friday I really thought I was safe and I sure didn't see this coming. I've only just skimmed through all the posts (here and in the game) and I must admit I'm confused (not the only one apparantly). The dubble suicide was definitely a shock!
Personally I bow down to the mighty will of TSL. Ithink he's done a great job. I really hope I can still be in the game because I've enjoyed it tremendously. But if i got the most votes maybe me dying is the most fair thing? Just because my character is an asshole doesn't mean I am

But killing Dragonslayer doesn't seem like the right thing
And all this talk about winning or loosing the game. I must say I really don't care that much if the good guys or the bad guys win as long as we all have fun! And if I'm still alive tomorrow I'll continue to try and stay alive so that I can enjoy this even more... I'll probably also continue to try and get Dragonslayer killed

Surly and Wichita, you mean. I'm a bookseller, not a banker or egyptologist.
My 2 cents.... I think it was a bad deal all around. There is, in fact, a workaround that would work in retplay.
Dragonslayer never had any intention of dying and helped Seko poison herself, recovers "miraculously" during the vigil in the (locked because of the murders) church for him. No way, in Victorian England, would a rich man kill himself for his servant,no matter how much she loved him.
Meanwhile, Seko had raided Doc Swymir's medicine bag for a counteragent, believing herself to be the sole inheritor, except for a small endowment for the orphanage, of Dragon Slayer's money. She wakes up while being fitted for her coffin that night.
The whole town goes to bed believing the two have double suicided, but in the morning, both come out, alive and well, and have some 'splaining to do (but let's all be credulous enough with their splaining and not attach more importance to their resurrections than is strictly necessary-- willing suspension of disbelief and all that, folks; we don't want to accuse them of being the killers just because they got a raw deal in the voting).
No one should be too surprised that Doc Swymir can't even correctly pronounce someone dead, should they?
If you really must have RainKing die, then give him a heart attack. Frankly, i don't think that's necessary, but I'm not one of the killers, so... (grin).

It is done. Seko did not give a burning desire for life, so she did not revive like Dragon did, most likely from his excessive history with it. Surly never got to read his note, sorry.
Wichita will probably give the will back to Dragon now, he must have to edit a line or two.
GAME DAY 2 is its own new thread to make it easier for you, (AND ME) to read. MY apologies for how quickly it all got out of hand.
