Maybe a high damage weapon you won't see on the characer page?

Assasins style knifes.

You know special gloves you wear.
That have knifes or blades at the sides.
And when you make a certain movement they get pulled forward.

would perhaps need...
(leather glove, Iron frame trough glove, Steel blade/knife?)

Iron Knifes or daggers.

Perhaps knifes made out of stone?

Nunchucks would be nice also. iron chain and 2 small wooden shafts.
Perhaps the shafts could be extended with a bit of iron for durability?

There are also some special called Nunchucks with an extra large handle.
It's used as a combo between a flail and a whip. Two Large shafts fortivied with steel and an Iron chain

Image
It was also called a Flail but i haven't got the brightest clue why.
Perhaps it's a sub group of the nunchucks.

Punching gloves.

maybe some made of hide and stone?

and some made out of leather and iron? or perhaps glass

Staffs?

could be a mix of different items

wood iron and steel (shaft, knob at end of shaft, ring trough knob)
wood and iron (shaft, knob at end of shaft)
wood and bone (shaft, knob at end of shaft)

Shurikens?
There are two kinds.
One use only which wouldn't fit in cantr.
And the boomerang type ones.

Would need a frame and then some sharp edges/darts

perhaps have a wooden frame with 8 bone darts.
And one with an iron frame and steel edges?

Shields.

Steel bracer
Iron bracer
bronzen bracer
wooden bracer

bracers are rather small so they would sacrifice some protection for lesser weight.

Should keep you busy for a while.

Hmm, I would like to see staves introduced as well. They could be used as a weapon, which would be reasonably better than a primitive bow, and could help with walking. They should be made out of wood and require a carving knife to make.

Why would they be better then a bow? One pierces, one bruises.

A primitive bow is a really bad weapon. *considers* Yeah, but a bit of wood won't do much. Point taken. But it ought to be better than a billy club.

Sticks are considered weapons? Wow, that's... unusual. *remembers breath of fire 2* Ah, maybe not.

Thats assuming Cantr people do indeed have bones. But I can see your point. It just seems like you have a chance for a fatal shot with a bow.. but then again you have the same with the club... Eh... I give up.

Sticks in cantr can be used as a weapon. try it out. But if staves become in game which is something i mentioned along time ago it needs to be more wood and a little bit more damage. Or you can give the large wooden shaft an attack property that would make it a staff as well.

@ Peanut and anyone else that might fall into the category

Bracers are already in game and you got the idea of what a bracer is all wrong. A bracer is that thing that goes around your wrist, knuckleheads. *sighs* (calm down Jeremy. Not everyone studies medeival history and collects armor and weapons) The bracers in game consist of two types. Leather and jewel. And they can be found in the clothing menu under bracelets. (hince why they are called braclets because they are smaller versions of bracers.)

What is a large wooden shaft used for, anyway?

Someone also missed the fact that nunchucku/nunchucka (depending on gramatical standing) were actually originally invented as rice flails, therefore I'd like to see them increase rice production if introduced. (The rice flail, which is a long staff connetced by a leather cord or chain to a second staff was an early iron age invention.)

Large wooden shaft is an axe-haft. Medium wooden shaft, which aready can be used as a (really weak) weapon is a spearshaft, and thus about the right size for a staff.

It's very weak, though...probably because the game isn't willing to let you claim expertise in any weapon...and a sword is a lot more dangeous than a staff in the hands of someone who doesn't know too much about wielding either.

If you guys want to debate about guns and whether or not they should be implemented, please start another thread. This is strictly meant for suggesting new weapons and protections.

Thank you. :D
