So it's either try and make myself comfortable around him, or break up, isn't it?
I forgot to mention one thing, I talk with him when we're alone, because most of the time we're not, due to traditions and culture here in Egypt... We're surrounded by our friends most of the time, or our families..
Did I tell you that he met my family? And I met his family too?
It is a serious relationship, I'm just afraid he'll get bored of me this way, that's why I'm really trying hard to be myself around him. I sometimes am myself around him, other times I'm not. But I'm progressing, that's all I can tell... Because at the beggining, I wasn't comfortable at all, but now there are times when I'm comfortable, and there are times when I'm not.
Does that make sense? lol!

Well, when I go out with a girl, I don't generally bring my parents.
And I'm sure there are a multitude of other things that makes Egyptian dating a whole lot different than Canadian dating. But from what I read, it seems like you are interested in him, and he in you, and you sound a lot like someone who is just overworrying. Relax!

Comcast and Verizon? Are my bills going to your house on accident?

I am jealous. My only relationship didn't last a night. 5 hours during one day is more accurate. And I'm 19, too.

We need to get you out on town more, Wichi! Or something like that. If you hide in a corner, most people won't notice you... don't make it too obvious, but make yourself VISIBLE.
Dee wrote::lol: Yeah that's probably true, I am an overworrying person.. My friends always tell me that...
Okay then, I'll relax, and see how things go
Go! Have fun! Be yourself, relax, and take it easy. If it doesn't work out that way... then it never will, not properly.

Hey, I go out! I swear I do. I likes to party. I like to boogie.

Hey, I finally scrounged up a copy of this Onion article posted on the net. It was titled Local Man Ruins Date by Just Being Himself. Enjoy!

There are several issues of the Onion archives now I believe. Thank you Wisconsin!
I would definitely consider moving there.
For those of you out of the loop:

I cried my eyes out laughing when I saw that article. The first time. It just rings with so much truth for some people.
It should be hanging up right next to the copy of Scientific Study Reveals Jack S***. Every lab at work has that one hanging up!

"Nice Guys"
I'm good friends with quite a few of them, and they do seem to have difficulty getting a girl. Of course, the upside is that when they *do* get a girl, she's usually a girl worthy of more than a quick fumble in the dark, and even if the relationship doesn't last long term it is a real relationship with some real emotion in it.
Who ever it was said earlier in the thread something about young girls not wanting "nice" and needing to learn that jerks are jerks is spot on. Any girl who only wants excitement hasn't yet settled down enough as a person to be worth having a full, meaningful relationship with. Give her a few years and a few heartaches, and she'll realise that excitement doesn't last if there's nothing deeper, and nice will be exactly what she wants. Nice is much more likely to last in the longer term. This is why one of my nice guy friends has labled himself "the perfect second husband".

Hey, I'd take a nice guy over a punk any day.

I've never really had any meaningful relationship, and it's probably not happening anytime soon. I have difficulty finding people that aren't shallow and ignorant. Plus, I never talk to anyone I don't know unless they come up to me first.

I'd love to find someone who, you know, is smart and a musician (a real one, that plays a real instrument like the piano or violin - drums don't count), and we could discuss philosophy and politics and blonde jokes.
