You've not felt the wrath of hicks until you've been into a town with the population of 17-20 people..and everyone is related to eachother SOME how. LITERALLY

No, some of you guys haven't been in New York State before. There are occassional cities and big towns and some farmland but most of New York State is forest. The developments are becoming more common in the valley I live in(village of West Sand Lake, town of Averill Park, Renessalear County, Captial District, Hudson Valley) but once you enter the mountains there is no way they will ever build developments up in them or even venture near them for that matter. Not with all the people who have been living up there since the 1700's cut off from society.

To get back to the subject, it would be cool if animals could be used for more than killing.

Riding horses, having them drag wagons and such, if oxes were implemented in the game they could be used as a tool for farming an such.

Taming them could be a project with a random chance of success, but they should also be able to be dragged inside fenced areas to keep them from running away.

Belive it or not horses are more effeicient for pulling a plow. Oxen are used when horses are not available. Oxen due to thier mass eat much more then they otherwise gain in pulling power.

But the rest of it would be great.

However the game seem to concentrate on getting the food out of the gound and not how it goes in which get into the whole discussion of farming rather than gathering.

I am all for the possibility of shearing sheep - you shouldn't have to kill the animal to get its wool.

Oh, to be able to ride the horses....

It would also be nice if we could drag animals, then we could stick them in a building and let them breed protected from people and unable to wonder off. And for the more crazy of chars I'm sure people would get a kick out of feeding someone to the wolves they locked up

Or build a corral, which a lock can be added to. THough I think this may have been brought up before.

Well, I do have Connors on both sides of my family. But they are probably like 315th cousins or something so I think I'm safe from incest....for the moment. :D

I have a friend with the last name of Connors as well.

Couldn't you just climb over the corral? Maybe a lock can keep animals in the corral but not keep people out. :D

Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

Hehe..

No i really would like to see this cause, think logically, we have cars, engines, yet we have no skill with animals at all? not even for farming? We kill them enough heh, we can let em live too.

I think I may have stated earlier on this resurrected thread.... if anyone wants any input on livestock related tools or resources (especially horses) please feel free to PM me and pick my brain. I've been breeding and training the critters for the last 15 years. :D
