She smiles sadly and, slowly, a tear rolls down her cheek

Now you accuse me. The Sheriff has obviously been busy, not sleeping all day. I didn't say I accuse you because you slept all day, I say I accuse you cause you come out here grouchy and yelling like you haven't had any sleep last night. Sheriff...

She looks over to the Sheriff It is something else you forget to ask me, but I will happily let you know in just a second. She looks back to Surly

I think you fear me Surly. I think you are upset with me for letting everyone know who you really are. I understand I am risking my life by doing this, but I will do so if it will keep my girls safe. You should be locked up immediatly and if your not then my death will confirm my suspicions.

[mikki]

As she is finished with her discussion with the Sheriff, she returns to Alex's side. smiling she whispers in his ear

She whispers to the Sheriff then turns to Mikki and Alex...

Excuse us Alex...

She smiles and whispers to Mikki

Dee, what you choose to do with your employment is little business of mine. Naturally, should you need flyers or pamphlets printed up and distributed, my shop is still open, even in these troubling times. *sighs* Perhaps especially in these times.

[Surly]

He gives Sparkle a level stare, stepping towards her and speaking in a low, but quite audible, voice.

Again Sparkle, if you know so much why don't you tell us? Is it because you're scared of the consequences, or is it because you are bluffing? And you accuse me, does that mean you're scared of me? Your vendetta against me is damned suspicious in my opinion...

And have I really been that grouchy with anyone except you? I told people to get back to work... and maybe if you did any work during the day you'd understand that sentiment. Spider slept late, a more damning statement than irritability with someone who has explained nothing, only accused. Maybe if you had any facts to back up your accusations people would be more understanding. As things stand, you have no more on me than I have on you. So it is fitting that our nominations are one a piece.

Who am I really Sparkle? If you know so much, maybe you would care to explain? All you do is put yourself in danger with such accusations... All these random accusations achieve is putting us both in danger.

And I do fear you, Sparkle. Anyone who can so coldly wish death on another with so little evidence as you are is a danger to all. I fear for my life, and I fear for the lives of everyone in London if you are not caught out.

she looks at Alex, sighs and then whispers to Sparkle

Yeah, I'm sorry I got mixed up... I thought you worked at the factory with the rest of us smiles appologitacily at mortaine

[Sparkle]

Well, you are so hung up on the Sheriff, before you accused me. I think you wanted him put away so that he wouldn't get the evidence he needs to put you away. I never said I wanted you dead. I said you should be stopped!

[Sparkle]

She whispers in Mr. Floyds ear

she looks at all the arguing between Surly and Sparkle To be completely honest, right now both of you are looking pretty hostile. But look at Dragon over there.. He is sitting back drinking tea, not caring about what is going on around here.. I think both of you are looking in the wrong direction.. How about we all work together and get the murderers... IF there are more than one..

[Surly]

Hung up with the Sheriff? I said I suspected him because he was asleep... but he's awake now, and I don't believe it was him. You, on the other hand....

Alex whispers to Mikki, then gives her a kiss on the cheek before standing up and approaching the Sheriff.

"I'll be next, Sheriff Spider."

[mortaine]

Miss Mortaine has been slowly going through the volume in her hands. Finally, she finds what she was apparently looking for. She looks up.

"Aha! I knew I'd heard something like that awful scrolling before. It's the name of a poem, 'To Life.''

She reads from the page:

She closes the book and looks up, apparently expecting some sort of response from the onlooking crowd.

she watches Alex walk away and she sighs, she then turns to mortaine, hearing what she has said has left her speechless...
