No, really, there's a guy claiming to be Jesus in the game.

We all know there's countless shameless rip offs of christanity, and they're all gonna burn with me in hell, but this guy is flatly trying to be Jesus Christ.

I'm not christan, I'm heathen, I'm not offended that he's jesus, I'm offended he's a [edit by self] person using a poor choice of character names[/edit by self] in the game.

1139-7: J FOOL says: "FOR EVERYONE!!! I will leave a statement of god in the cathedral!!! for any interested people who want to save there souls"

1139-7: Don Ragbite says: "though if there are sea monsters i suppose i should smelt iron and make a shield before i sail too far just in case"

Do what you want with him. I'm going to be acting in character in regards to him, all the while hoping OOC that his character falls over dead.

Not really fobidden as I heard, just really really really stupid and frowned upon. We've started casting people into pits for it.

... Seeing someone trying to be a famous, well known figure reminds me of another newspawn...
Is it a CR breach if some kid appears, calling themself Hitler and trying to 'create a new society' or something while wanting to get rid of 'impure Cantrian races'? I don't think the kid spawned on the island with Cantr City... He woke up one day ranting about evil governments and creating prosperity, which is rather funny considering there is no government in the place he spawned, I think.

That'd be more interesting if he had. The current Jesus walked into Kwor, which would be darn hard for someone under 30 to do from Cantr city.

That isn't accurate. There has been one more instance of a player being contacted due to Christian related references IC than there have been instances of a player being contacted about Islamic references.

There should be no references to ANY RL religion.

However, if you're just referring to religions using "god" as the name of the greatest being, rather than Allah, the difference is quite clear:
In English, "god" is a neutral word not related to any specific religion, e. g. you can say Jahwe is god, Allah is god, the Romans had many gods... whereas Allah is used to refer to the Muslim God.
In Arabic, "allah" is the neutral word for god, so when the Arabic region appears, you may use the word "allah" there just like the word "god" is used in the English region - that is, without references to RL religions.

I don't see that he is claiming to be Jesus, just a prophet despite the J name. I don't like all the pop-up spawns spouting unimaginative Christian religious views, either, but I don't see that what he is doing is much different from the already established official church in that town which is highly referential to Catholicism and refers to "the Father" even though the concept of a father doesn't exist in Cantr.

I'd further point out in re: Allah that Arabic Christians refer to the Christian god as Allah as well.
