Stone-wasting buildings...

Postby Revanael » Mon Apr 18, 2005 8:28 pm

I'd never noticed them before... but in The Quillanoi Prison - QuillQuill (guess where that could possibly be?) there are seven projects for rooms, each with some stone added. All have stupid names that make it clear that some idiot decided to be funny.

They date from around the 500s.

Any chance they could be removed?

under what conditions should buildings like this be deleted?

I'm in a building with 3 identically named buildings, which were started with resources off the ground when the initiator was dragged inside.

At what point do these buildings move from in game problem to potential for deletion?

When some-one decides they are annoying. :) But some shouldn't be deleted, sure, offensive ones. But other ones, it's just a waste of time to be honest..

It would be nice if there was an in game way of removing old porjects with resources so we could do it ourselves

Indeed. But the safety time should be years, it would suck if you had to go get some resource from far away and came back only to notice someone had ended... oh wait, that would make sense. It's quite silly that people can in a way store resources safely by putting them in unfinished projects, while in that point they are in no way fixed to each other or the ground and logically should be stealable. I don't know... (I'm just thinking bitterly if we would allow getting resources out of unfinished buildings then there goes the last chance of anyone finishing a certain house I started, it had almost enough stone to start building and I never got a chance to finish it  )

Yes, and to no personal game. I think it -was- suggested, that the person get X% of the resources already added.

Well, it wasn't a new suggestion, just a gentle reminder ;)

Not that I probably need to answer...

But it's been publicly available knowledge for years that I play Corporal Dartel Krimentak of the Quillanoi Guard.

I dont know if it was you or not, but it was done by someone who wanted West's character dead.

Ive been in there but it has been a long long long time..... i can only remember part of the name.

Anyway, i havnt really read this topic. But if your complaining because people have made building project messages its acceptable to a point. I know this because i know of some senior staff members who have created something like this...

I believe it is acceptable to do unless it has a very vulgar meaning and lanuage used.

I really don't think this is a breach if I say this because it's so irrelevent...

about 20 years ago, my char chased a thief from Blojt Forest East through the desert. She turned around so many times that he lost her, and wound up in the next location over (the one with Sister Mandy's church in it, in the middle of the desert). He spent a couple days killing a desert tortoise, and he was about to go back home when Sister Mandy showed up in a car and gave him a lift to Mirovash.

A few days later, who should show up in Mirovash but the lady thief?

Needless to say she didn't last long but one of her final deeds was to add stone to a room inside the tower called "Tzap Greenwood is spawned of EVIL!"

One of my favorite memories, there.
