Then lets analyse her accusation logically
1 - I came out 'screaming' for people to get back to work. Not unreasonable in the circumstances I believe. If you're paid to work, work.
2 - I'm cranky like I didn't get much sleep. What do you expect for a true academic? The hours mean nothing when I am at my work. More suspicious that she wasn't up last night, considering her profession.
3 - I'm secretive. Who isn't? I'm not the only person to whisper, and I'm sure my words were more innocent than theirs. It is no secret that I wish to finance my expedition. And that expedition is more important to me than your suspicions.
4 - Why shouldn't I want to leave town? This town is full of murders and hookers, in my opinion not the best neighbiourhood to live in. I would much rather be in Cairo or ancient Alexandria pursuing my life's work.

Are those really strong enough convictions to imprison an innocent man?

Surly is trying to cover his own tail. You don't know what I was doing last night, so I would not jump to conclusions if I were you. Also, I don't mind you yelling for others to get to work, but to show no concern over our now dead friend. Sounds like someone who already knows he was dead.

I'm sorry Surly, but my vote still stands. They can vote for someone who has never spoken to prove himself innocent or guilty all they want, but I see right through your games.

What exactly would you like me to do about Yo_Yo's death? Hmm? Fall about in a fit and cry alot? Or take it calmly, attempt to inform the watch, and go back to what I know and do best?

You are very aggressive towards me, Sparkle. And all because I did not want you to look at my work? Seems a strange reason for such harsh accusations. Or is it because I'm a threat? Because of the fact that I spend as many nights as days studying, and you want me out of the picture?

You play a risky game yourself with such brazen declarations of guilt in others. Such aggression is unwarranted and I suspect your motives. Not more than I suspect a Sheriff who discreetly sleeps through the first day of an investigation, which he himself is paid to do. *After a while she emerges from the house, clutching a full tray with both hands in order not to cause any more accidents. Looks like she's finally changed the dirty apron too, or washed it, who knows, if she has more than one of those outfits they are indistinguishable from eachother.*

Alex takes Mikki's hand and whispers to her so that only she can hear. At first he is smiling, but his face becomes more inquisitive as he talks to her.

The commotion of the voting turns his attention back to the rest of the villagers.

"Personally, I have not seen a reason to condemn anyone to the gallows at this point. I will abstain from today's vote unless someone can convince me otherwise."

He then turns back to Mikki, expectantly awaiting an answer.

Is that a new apron. It looks lovely as well. I'm glad you know how to keep up with the latest of styles from France. Oh how I do love the women there.

he takes a cup of tea and and walks over to the inn and sits on a chair at a table outside under the balacony

she whispers to him, smiling sweetly as she speaks holding his hand in return.. she looks up from their conversation and looks at everyone then back to AoM

If you have no objection, Lord Dragon, I will join you. Tea in the afternoon is most refreshing. Give me some respite before talking to Mr. Wichita later.

He nods, and comes to sit at the table outside the inn

He sighs, and continues to drink

Seko darling. Your nipples are poking through your dress. Why not going and buying a new dress that is a little bit longer to keep you warm with.

standing up a moment he excuses himself to Surly and walks over to the his little servant girl shivering in the early spring day. He then pulls out his wallet and seeing she has her hands full with the tea trays he reaches into the front of her shirt and puts a 100 pound note in between her breasts. Then returns to his seat and picks up his glass
