True enough. But the only reason people are upset with me is because I do not agree with them, and am not swayed by there arguments.

I cannot, however, blame them. It is very frusterating when you know (or think) you are right about something, but cannot get your point accrosed the thick idiot your talking to (that being me)

Anyhow, this thread won't recover. I tried to keep it on track, but it's not going to happen I shouldn't think, and at present, it's just waisting everyone's time.

I'm sure we can agree on that.

The only way you can have a hope of keeping a thread on topic is by having respect for the people you are debating with. Don't look to debunk their arguements by claiming that they are irrelevant. If you don't see a connection, politely ask them to reiterate or rephrase. Being a polite debater means being careful to not attack your opponent, simply question the logic of their arguement not their personal intelligence. Something about your attitude or your accusations has put many people on this forum on the defensive whenever you post something... and this leads to a lot of unnecessary ad hominem attacks and retorts.

If you truly intend to do nothing else on these threads except debate, then that alone could be a reason you aren't winning many friends here. These boards are not meant to be about debate. We welcome it every once in a while, but we appreciate more rounded forum personalities. If you didn't notice that before, consider this a friendly wake up call.

Peace.

Wrong. I lock when things need it, not on command.

Yes, this does need it, I'll grant. but you'll not "have it locked"... :D

CD: LOCKED. (Revanael)
