Yeah but I probably think it was some naked kid dying on his 21 birthday like the most of them. If there is an ingame explanation then my character would be very interested in those notes, after all they are related to death, but if they are there only because some jerk keeps notes on the wrong account then I can't react to them can I? Besides the character has never heard about those places before.

But there's been a fair amount of travel between the islands (at least recently) so it's not ENTIRELY out of the question that those notes are legit, unlike, say an AJS note in Blojt.
A golden age of cantr seafaring has begun!

It's still illegal unless there is a reference to the original author. And that wouldn't look too good.
I always make it a point to give credit to the author or creator, should I ever end up using there work. Not so much for liabilities purposes, but more because I hate to see people take credit for the work of others.
I suppose if one were ever recreating a note using things such as poetry from outside Cantr, and it made sense, that just adding (OCC: Such and such was in fact actully written by so and so and not myself) would suffice, no?

Would suffice, legally.
Would still look bad, IMO. Be creative, people! Don't steal artwork, or writing.

K Isle Map?
One of my charies found the Dust map of the K Island in Quill Forest (South). And it almost certainly doesn't belong there, especially as it dropped from a guy in his twenties who also had notes that were written in L33T such as:
lmao d00d plz stop sh00ting @ me w/ur bo
It makes me think that it was just a really dumb newspawn copying notes. Will these notes be removed, or should I take them and stick them in an envelope where they will never see the light of day again?

No, but really, that's just not original, is all.
I've created an ideology, and I didn't need help from Marx or Lenin. You can do it too.
