Inappropriate Sex

Postby SickGerm » Thu Apr 14, 2005 9:23 pm

I can understand why people enjoy having cyber sex within roleplaying with their wives or spouse(s) but many people have been randomly newspawning or travelling just asking for sex should we at least try to keep the game pg?

Well . . . as long as it's RPed in private, there's not much of a problem. (Although I think some of these newspawns insisting on sex is a bit too much.) And "PG"? Anyone over the age of 10 and on the Internet no longer needs to be protected from sex or language. Some people apparently have no idea what kind of suff goes on in middle and even elementary schools.

I myself am still in High school but I do think people should at least try to censor what they are doing obviously if your in a relationship with someone in the game something could happen but its rediculous to just walk around and look for sex there are chatrooms for that.

1138-3: You see a woman in her twenties arriving in your town, coming from a town.

1138-3: a woman in her twenties says: "So who wants sex? I feel randy. Man or woman, I really don't care!"

that is the specific even i was refering to but it happens quite often to me

Just because inappropriate things are going on elsewhere doesn't mean they should be accepted here. All children need to be protected from the inappropriate. If children are acting out sexually at a young age it's because they have already been abused in some way. That doesn't make continued abuse OK, just because they are too damaged to understand that their behavior is hurting them. That's what adults are for, to protect children, not to contribute to their problems.

I think that anyone who cybers with someone under 18 is doing something wrong. And since there is no way to actually know how old someone is on the internet, I'm choosing not to rp sex in Cantr. It has nothing to do with being prudish, I just don't need to do it online and I'm skeeved by people who seems to focus on it excessively with their chars.

Seriously, is it really necessary? It seems to be taking over more and more of the Cantr activity. Maybe because fighting and warfare is so difficult now and chars are kind of bored.

That's a little strong of a statement. Especially if you're considering anyone under 18 a child.

I don't consider everyone under 18 a child but that's where I would draw the line if it was actually possible to know how old someone is. I wouldn't have sex with someone under 18 in rl so I wouldn't do it in Cantr either.

That's just my choice, I know most people won't agee.

I tend to agree with Nick on that one. It's very common for children as young as two or three to start experimenting with their bodies and uh, "self-pleasuring." It doesn't mean they've been molested, just that they're learning about their bodies and don't really know what's appropriate.

I guess these newspawns are kind of the same way?

Anyway, just ignore them, or react the way you would react in the real world if someone propositioned you that way. It's a society simulator; if someone were to act lewd in public in society, what do you do about it?

How often do you have people on the street shout out loud "free sex"? and if they continued to shout im sure the cops would come eventually I can understand if someone wants to rp the life of a stripper, hooker, or slut but you should at least rp it and not run around shouting out loud "i want sex" keep it private.

I believe she was refering to the fact that they were introduced to a society wich condoles obsene morals not being physically or sexually abused more mentally

1138-4: a woman in her twenties says: "Anybody interested in sex with me? Man or woman, and threesomes are acceptable! *laughs*"

Ok, now this is going a little to far... the pd needs to look into this.

Okay, there you go. Call out whatever constabulary you have in that town to deal with her lewd behavior if it offends your character. Believe it or not, people *do* call out sexual things like that, especially in big cities.

Have to agree that the PD should look at that...I'd consider it aggrivating if it were in character, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone's decided to make cantr their little 'playground', and that's PD material if so.
