Tiny? Hmmmmm. Not sure if that's how I'd describe it, how long ago was it that you lived there?

Essex is actually East Anglia, by most standards, I think... or part of it is. And I suppose Northerners would tell you that East Anglia is still south-east. As would I, and I'm Essex-born.

I remember the sentiment for all of those bomb alerts. Thanks for the clarification on tiny too. Makes sense now.

I used to go to Carlisle quite a bit. My old rugby club used to go there to play because are league had teams from over there, for some reason. Don't play rugby that much anymore though.

The 'Midlands' tend to incorporate anything south of Yorkshire, but north of London. Weat of East Anglia (just, and I mean only just, getting Northampton) and anything east of... uh... Wales? I don't know.

Anyway, my dad was born and raised in Northampton... and he tells stories of Northampton being in the East Anglia zone for news in olden days. A fact he didn't realise for years, until he visited somewhere in Essex...

The south-east proper is quite small. Kent, large parts of Sussex (not the western part) and London. Although London seems to form its own zone now...

Surly >The Battle Site is about 3/4 mile from where I'm sitting

Definitive battle but not taught enough if you ask me. The making of modern England - as important as the Magna Carta - Lewes is full of Prince Edward's this, King Henry's that and plenty of Montfortwhat fors

And in my opinion anything more that 7 miles from the English Channel is the bitter Northern Regions - Haywards Heath is possibly the Midlands :D

EDIT : Oh and Lewes is also known for its "little" bonfire celebrations on some date in November

Everything there is a bloody rip off. Well, talking in dollars. I suppose I shouldn't go (actually stay, not rest over) to Tokyo.

Yeah, still is in the East Anglia region for the news, but really that's only down to signal strength and all that jazz. Oh and another update on the Midlands thing, I think Northampton is about the furthest south it extends as well, as Milton Keynes is normally described as being in the Home Counties.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna stop posting about the midlands now. People are gonna get bored
