Okay this sucks

Postby ANAX » Tue Apr 12, 2005 7:22 am

If i had known about cantr when it was first created long go that would have been awsome. but now there are hundreds upon hundreds of players and i like the confort of others with one character and with another i dont. Is there any way i can be put into a place far away from known lands? a place that no one will reach for about another 3-4 months normal real live time. I just want to be alone for a while and cannot find a single place to do this. please help me with some advice.

In the English area, the place you spawn in is determined by how many people there are, so it is impossible to spawn in a deserted place. However, you could go exploring and try to find a deserted place. On the main islands that might be difficult, but you could make a boat... or make a character in one of the foreign language areas, where chances are that you spawn in a town but already the next stop is deserted - if the town itself isn't. Unfortunately the PD doesn't take any requests for spawning locations, since that would be too much work and could also be very easily abused.

There are plenty of empty places - try heading for the nearest mountains. Of course, that's often because they're pretty uninhabitable. Generally, you're likely to find that the prime spots are well populated because they are relatively easy to survive in.

Building a simple boat can be done quite easy....you just need Wood really. And there are plenty of unexplored Islands...trust me on that, I myself have made some very cool discoveries in the last months. Just go where the wind might take you!

Is there wind in Cantr? I always assumed you rowed in the smaller boats and had engines in the larger ones. Hence you always pick you direction and don't drift...

Not engines...pedals, clearly.

Or maybe we're all very good sailors.

Or maybe this is one more reason trying to imagine cantr objects as RL objects is a mistake.

My cantrians have 9 webbed feet which they kick with to propel their boats. Science really.

And they sustain it all on the energy provided at 40g of carrots a day (or the equivalent).

Out of curiosity: Do boats continue moving despite having no alive chars aboard?

Um...do you comprehend that making characters commit suicide left and right for no reason (or OOC reasons) is against the basic rules of the game?

Plus, I know the character that TSL wants to keep feeding... sorry dude, but anywhere you go on that island is going to have at least a few people... I guess you'll just have to live with 'em.

Yeah and thanks for f'ing up the game with that ooc crap. I really appreciated that #9. And to the screaming jackass one of my other characters had to deal with this morning...

I guess the point of this post is to say, thank you guys for killing my buzz and cluttering my logs.
