I think once I take over some regions, poor grammar will be considered Witchcraft and sentence to grammar school. I need to see some capital letters and commas every now and then!

Even the unoriginal "*cough* sorry, I meant blahblah" is better than OOC spelling corrections, normally...

Yeah, Rev is right. I'd accept that.

I don't think it's worth breaking the flow to correct a spelling error at all, not unless the error introduces ambiguity. Most cases it's clear what the speaker meant to say.

I have the problem that the most common error I make happens to be forgetting the not or n't and that makes the meaning of the sentence totally opposite to what I meant. So to avoid confusion I write an asterisk and the correction. I hope this doesn't bother anyone. It can look a bit funny in heated situations where most of the mistakes take place but I think it's better to correct it before it leads into total misunderstanding.

Seko: that is one of the most common and destructive errors on the Internet. I swear, how many flamewars could have been ended with the correct usage of the word "not"?

I realize this has been suggested... however apparently it has not been suggested strongly enough. :P

I'm not sure which is worse, the recent epidemic of newspawn twin CR breaching hitler clones, whose typed messages are like some kind of word salad, or the number of OOC comments to them and about them.

I find it easier and more effective to ignore or roleplay around inexperienced or immature players rather than openly confront their behavior. If an ooc comment is necessary, it is much less disruptive to do it privately, and doesn't invite the individual in question to continue on with a public ooc debate.

Well, while an OOC debate is no good...it would be a CR breach to ignore them, wouldn't it? It's not like they become invisible.

I think it depends on the level of the breach. If it is a small one, many new players finally "get it" if their breaching comment is ignored completely and their appropriate comments are attended to. (I know, I sound like a behavioral therapist).

Also... I'm not saying that it should never be addressed, only that when an ooc comment is needed it is often best to do it privately.

Glad to hear I'm not alone (although I fear I was an OOC-talker when faced with THAT level of idiocy). I'm certain there's characters of his/hers in Siom too. Now, I'm hardly an RP elitist, but between the two towns, I'm ready to cry. OOC is annoying, but nothing compared to that Hermes/Hitler player. Speaking of which, he's got 3 characters in Doryiskom, and has admitted to creating a TON of characters in attempts to land in "uninhabitted areas." All in-game! AUGH! I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people I'm burying all over the continent belong to his account(s?).

Can we do something about that as well? I'm so tired of 4 newspawns dying every day. There's armies of gravediggers now, who I'm sure have better things to do.

Since I'm already complaining and on a roll, why can't you cancel projects that have resources/work done and just get the % of resources back? Makes sense, eh? Would eliminate a whole tier of characters who's careers are wasted cleaning up the queues of large towns as well.

I tend to mix up "your" and "you're".
I never correct it though, as that would make me feel even worse I guess..
