I think most people in America don't care about the aristocracy in Britain. At least I don't care.

It's possible to own a TV where the channels are taken out somehow and it's only used for watching videos so it's the channels you're paying for, not the box. I guess. People usually don't brag about not paying their TV licence because if people don't pay the cost gets higher and the ones who do pay sort of have to pay for the slackers too. So if you keep too much noise about it, someone's gonna rat you out to the inspector. I know one woman who didn't pay her licence and the inspector never came to her door, yet she got fined and wondered why... before realizing that their TV shows out of the living room window, the inspector had probably been peeping in!

Oh, we had a commercial running where a couple is eating in a restaurant and some guy walks by, drops his own bill at their table and walks out. The tagline is, if you don't pay, someone else has to. Or something like that.

too true, or those claims direct kind of adverts, they make me mad

Three main sources of advert annoyance

Elephant loans, or insurance or whatever
Churchill car insurence (fun when your five)
the one with the talking blue phone that wants you to get an unsecured personal loan, he should have been Killed off years ago....

.... GRRR

A sport shop add where the logo (that's oval shaped) keeps spinning across the screen several times when the pictures change and the music sounds like "Boom, wack-wack!" It's funny because it's oval, not round, so it looks funny when it spins. Teehee!

And another add had a load of little red cars scrolling across the screen... *giggle*

And one had shrimps in the sky and then there comes a big shrimp and it explodes! It had funny music!
