YoYo i only buy the system for it's game base.
Not it's specifications.
Also this statement of yours:
20 bucks for a memory card that holds something like... two game saves
Is utter rubbish.
I agree that it's no harddrive but it gets the yob done for almost all the games i have.
Now stop being a consoleboy.
All systems have their ups and downs.

You go ahead and play your timesplitters. I play the best FPS to date. The first Halo.
And as for the comment about the memory cards. I think the one I had could hold something like... 18 slots? When there are more then one person playing the system... so you got to figure at least two saves per game... 18 isn't that big of a number.

Ah you mean the ps i mean't the one for ps2.
And i slightly agree on the ps.
But some of those games need ALOT of memory.
Civalization (95% of a mem card)
Populus (100% of a mem card)
Harvest moon (35% of a mem card)
etc etc etc.
And comeon comparing two systems that are like 2 generations between isn't real.

This arguement's been going on since 'which is better, Mario or Sonic?'
I play a PS2, and I've got no problems with it. I like the enormous gamebase, and they're reasonably durable. I mean, I wouldn't go switch to an XBox, but if I had one of those instead of a Sony, I'd be fine with it too. Video games just kick ass!

Was it for this my life I sought?
Maybe so, maybe not.

Personnally i have to say sonic because i was hooked when playing it on the old megadrive .which still survives gathered by cobwebs somewhere in the attic along with an old zx spectrum and a lovely pair of blue suede zip up boots by bjorn borg whosever they are yuck.

I prefer the Xbox because it has the most graphical muscle of any of this gen's consoles. I find the controller is intuitive and fits my hands nicely, and I'm a huge fan of both Halo games.
Games that are available on multiple consoles usually look the best on an xbox, and there aren't many games that are console-specific for other consoles that i find appealing.
Now, I don't own ANY game consoles. I just play other peoples' when I want to play a game, and the games that I most often want to play are on the xbox.

I'm not picking sides CM.
But it's a known fact that the playstation 2 is 2/3 years older then the "next gen" consoles. I own one myself.
The only complaint i'm having is that the parts used for it are "rubbish"
I would have gladly payed 100 € more to have some more durable parts (the lens
