Been begged for before by a great many people, and has never been granted. The restriction was originally meant to save bandwidth, I believe. Now I don't know if that justification is still good.
However, you aren't meant to need that much time playing Cantr either. And the option of spending hours more would probably promote over-activity even more, which isn't a good thing for the players who don't have 4 hours per day to sink on a game.
'Tricks' to save time: Log out often, use your back button copiously if you have a slow connection. Though the latter isn't much appreciated by the programming department. If you do leave your player page open for a long period, rather than refreshing it go back to the login page and log in again...makes sure you won't end up spending minutes on the time you weren't actually playing.

For someone joining the forum in the past two weeks, you seem quite the expert.
A lot of people would like this, and have said so (probably not linked to payment, there's a principle that cantr's the same for paying and non-paying players, last I heard)...I could have really used more time a couple days ago.
The 200 minutes may be a vestigial bit from the overloaded server, or not. Technical points aside, I don't really see that it's a bad thing. If nothing else, it keeps you from taking a lethal dose of cantr.

More time would be very nice. However, the day only has 24 hours, and I have to work a full time job, sleep, eat, do housework, do other hobbies, and do a hundred and one other things that daily life outside Cantr requires.
I rarely use up all of my minutes and only have five characters, as I don't have the real life time to devote to more. One of the things that makes Cantr unique (and there are many) is that it doesn't favour those who spend hour upon hour playing it every day. I like the fact that even with my somewhat limited time to play, I am on more or less a level playing field with everybody else. I think Cantr would lose a lot of its appeal for busy people like me if that changed.

Hello, my name is Wichita and I am a Cantr addict.
I would love more minutes. I run out nearly everyday. But honestly it is the last thing that I need. I log in from work constantly and get nothing done. When I'm not logged on I'm thinking about my chars and what they are going to do next. They have taken over my dreams. I rush at the computer first thing in the morning, replacing that space that used to be reserved for a cigarette and cup of coffee on the porch. When I'm not logging in to check the game, I'm wasting time here on the forums - enjoying the good stuff and reading all of of the mindless inane crap that gets thrown out too, just to make the blinking yellow icons to go away. (I wish my brain would let me use the "mark all as read" button more often.)
Please, for the love of God, do not give me more minutes! I want to grdauate within the next five years!

I just don't really like you guys all that much.
West, Jr.
I resent that. Nearly half of my posts have had at least some sort of content.
It's people like Schme that give me ulcers.
More to the point, though, I'm glad we have the time limit. Kind of puts everyone on an even footing, and enables me to be productive occasionally instead of a total addict.
Oh, and @ANAX: your char has some sort of deathwish?
I'm not dead; I'm dormant.

As long as we're being honest, I don't like Scheme either!

@West: I thought you the "I hate you all!" guy? That's what I was referencing. Definitely not comparing your posting abilities.
