You see a man in his sixties get killed by a ferret.

Vicious!
1223-4: You kill a elephant using a longbow.

Didn;t feel like reading the whole 15 or so pages, so don't get angry if its already been said.

Since everyone wants to make this game horribly realistic (even though its a fantasy game... I know, make no sense), Hows about putting in insects that carry disease. They could infect food and suck... you know, if its left on the ground. Maybe not have them attack people, only food.

scorpions
spiders

...make 'em poisonous. Then maybe once people get actual apothecary mixtures running, you can create anti-venom to counteract them.

I only read the last few pages, so this idea might have been worded already.

Wandering solitary dangerous beasts that take a lot of effort to kill; like a T-Rex, a Dragon, Godzilla, a Mammoth with a very bad temper. Something that hurts and even kills people who don't run or hide and is a tough challenge to subdue, kill or scare away.

Best to have the beast eat (and heal) till satisfied or scared and then wander off to the next settlement.

Who needs T-Rex when we have elephants? Has anyone ever managed to kill one of those?

Now I am very sure this has been put here but I am to lazy to look back.
Whales for fishing on ships would be great. Of course you would have to build something on your ship in order to catch them or something like that but hey it would be a source of food when you are out on the water.

Plus the scorpion thing would be cool too, cause you could add the poison to your weapons maybe. hmmm? That would be cool.

There are scorpions in the game already but you don't get any poison from killing them.

Why? Feathers are essentially useless so far. I'd say more birds only if feathers are needed to make arrows for bows.
