One of my charries needs weights

Postby AngelSpice » Tue Mar 29, 2005 6:22 pm

I have a 90lb weakling of a charrie. Weights made of iron that could be used to build strength would be appreciated.

Everyone's characters appear weak, except those from before the "hidden stats" change.

Stop being so self concious.

Still, my char would probably try and get stronger by carrying lots rather than eating lots

Your not making a suggestion anymore your not even talking about the suggestion your discussing about how it works already and should be kept to the game...

well, it's not really about how it works in the game, as I have no idea if it's even possible let alone if that's how to do it.

Let it be known that the previous comment had no bearing on the game mechanics

All my charries "seem weak" but I've just noticed that one of my charries is much worse at dragging than others - even when not tired. I just assumed this charry had "weakling genes" and I wanted something to make them stronger.

Is this the urban legend self-generation page? How about adding the one that wearing hemp work gloves makes you less tired? And a few more while we're at it.

Anyhow, I had a charry who carried heavy loads and ate only red meat his whole life long since "stats" where implemented, and also hunted a lion as often as he was able. I saw no improvement in any kind of "stat" whatsoever.

As far as I can determine, the whole thing is a fraud. If there are any improvements of any kind, they are miniscule.

If all you're hunting is the lion, you really need to start thinking. Just how many blows did you land on the lions before you became disgusted and quit?

And how many types of animals were around? If you wanted hunting proctice, you should have been attacking more than one animal per day...

Surely you don't want to turn Cantr into one of those MUDs where "levelling" is the main deal--like clicking 100 times on the sacred statue to convert your "experience points" into "guild points", etc, etc. Cantr is supposed to be different, it's supposed to be for busy people who only have "a few minutes a day."

In any case I had another character in the Quil forest region and I think he just might have gained 1 point, though his skills were excellent to start with. That was after a hell of a lot of work hunting stuff he didn't need to. Whose bright idea was this?

Much easier to do a simple little test with a new char. Punch an animal. If it's 4 he's a warrior, 3 so-so, 2 no good, and 1 a bleedin' heart veggie-eater. Not to mention that it's otherwise just a further hurdle to the poor sods who're trying to enter the game for the first time.

Stay away from me, I'm in a positively foul mood.

I've never seen character stats go up.

My chars that hit for 13 when the new system was implemented still hit for 13, and my chars that hit for 31 then still do.

I've noticed improvements. It takes work though.
