That wasn't very nice.

I actually don't remember what the note all said. That was waaaaay back on my first account, and I'm on my third. Meaning I've unsubscribed twice. I've learned alot since then.

I vaguly remember tubesteak mentioned. Can't remember much more.

Anyway, show it to whoever you need to, but don't forget to mention how long you've just sat on it instead of reporting it.

Sorry, Agar.

But still, that note was pretty offensive and it's obvious you've let that experience influence your OOC opinion of the Mac Gregors. Just thought I'd point out that you're not exactly unbiased, here.

The only note I edited was a copy of thier laws, and did it after being locked up awaiting certain death. OOC I hate the MacGregors, I won't deny that, however, I was pretty pissed off IC, since that was the reason I was locked up.

You know, we might not even be talking about the same note...

I rather think we are. A copy of the Mac Gregor laws, edited, shall we say, for maximum offensiveness and reference to the hindquarters and various sexual acts pertaining thereunto, most of which would cause your grandmother, parents, teachers, and possibly drill sergeant to blush.

Oh ok then. That was likely me, back almost a year ago, I think. But then the debate become purely theological. We don't know if the Cantrians even have the feature for sex, much less how they do or if the have any knowledge of it. It is a note that has been hit by graffiti from a criminal malcontnet, and doesn't abuse any of the game mechanics or concepts, and isn't directed at the players of the characters. In other words, it's all in game.

Hey West, are we done hijacking this thread? If you want to continue the debate, I suggest we move it to PMs. I don't think anyone else cares about it.

I don't hate the MacGregors personaly but I can see why people do. Plastic culture, with no originality.

Pretty original as far as cantr goes. It's not a 3-person council-run city where nothing gets done, so I'd say it's pretty unique.

Government maybe, but I said the culture. It's not unique, its quite oviously not unique. Me thinks maybe Gregor's player has watched braveheart too many times.

Speaking of culture...You are right the Mac Gregors have a distinctive Scottish Highlander flavour, though I wonder if you caught the Japanese Samurai seasoning in it?

What about other towns, groups etc.? Do they have some cultural identity that makes them different from the rest?
I'd like to hear what you guys see as the cultural quirks of other towns like Krif, Drojf, STF, Seatown, Pok, Olip, Blojt, Lad (the old empire and now), and every otherregion that comes to mind.

I've never had a char who lived in Drojf but they've been through there a few times and with the partying and entertainment and whores and big shots and then the Nosse it seems a lot like Las Vegas if it had a large and influential population of Quakers. :) Interesting mixture.

Olipifirovash Forest comes to mind right away. The Stone Knights have quite a distinct cultural identity. They have codes, laws, beliefs, rituals, sports, even a sense of heritage that is very unique. I know plenty of places that have some of these elements but there they are very firmly ingrained in the populace.

I'd like to see more places with truely unique cultural identities, however, it seems they take a very long time to develop and depend greatly on the longevity of a few principal characters.

Yes Djorf is a unique place, complete with festivals, religious fanatics and the such. Djorf Hills North strikes me as the..ummm I don't know, maybe the little hometown kinda setting.

Quakers?

The Nossé are going to end up like the Shakers if they don't get a few more Fosterlings soon. All the old people are, well, mostly dead.

I've had characters in Drojf since the early 400s and it's quite lovely to see how it's progressed...not at all the "boring little outpost town" El Adan called it in his first, rather embarrassing, election song.
