I tried to wait.

Okay, the suicidal newspawn is in Krif and I'm going to help my charcter from Djorf with my other character Ray Aislek who happens to be a member of the KRDF. Sorry, I can't wait for a response any longer.

You can not help your char with another of your own.. That in itself is a CRB.

Well I fee I should explain the situationa bit bter. The thief ran to krif, and my char chased him. I have a char in krif who happens to be a member of he KRDF,. My first char asked for help, and I helped with the krifian. its his job, so I feel I didn't break the CR.

I really don't think it's a breach since the other one is just doing his job. It would be a breach if the guard attacked the thief before the chaser asks for assistance, but not otherwise. Actually it would be a breach to restrain from acting on the basis that you cannot help your own character since the fact that it is your own character is OOC info.

Well the rest of the town is helping with it anyways. I normally would have just done it and not asked, but it seems eveyone is realy adding a bunch of new circumstances to the CR.

Bingo. I don't think there was any foul play here, but as the PD member stated, apparently it IS a CR breach. Stupid, IMO.

Yo_Yo,

To give you a better explanation why this could be looked at as a breach is for two reasons.

1. Most people are obviously aware that their characters are there and know that letting that character help without IC reason would be a breach so they make it simple by asking everyone for help. Then immediately have their character respond to the obvious request.

2. We recommend in situations like this you either try your best to avoid having both your characters respond or you at least wait an hour to see if someone will respond to your other character.

Also in this situation when you know you have a character of law that has to respond to a situation, let that one respond first so that you won't be obligated to have them both respond by letting the non enforcer go first knowing your other character would also have to respond.

Does everyone understand the reasoning behind this. If not an example can gladly be given.

Well, in this case that doesn't work...the chasing character started chasing from Drojf, and wouldn't be stopping...then the chase reaches the guard, and the guard has to help.

The avoiding involvement of two characters idea only works if they both become potentially involved at the same time.

It is good though to only allow one character of yours to be 'awake' in a given town at one time.

Yo-Yo, you handled the situation very well IC. That's an example of legitimate cooperation between your own chars.

lol, you checked that out huh? Well I tried. I knew the lines between CRB are very fine. I thought if I took the time and did it well, then I wouldn't get in trouble for it. Did I mention he was a suicidal newspawn? *trys to bring up more facts to divert the attention away from himself* >.>;;

Dodging the issue, eh? I'll have to lock your account for non-cooperation :twisted:
