Man Trap.

Postby Antichrist_Online » Sun Mar 20, 2005 2:36 pm

Dunno if this has been suggested before but it will offer a solution to the "imprison people until they give you thier weapons, then kill them" tactic used by a lot of groups who steal keys.

Iron Man trap
1500g iron
hammer
Knife
screwdriver

The idea is these could be built in buildings, then a project setting trap done. This means when someone enters they recieve a small amount of damage, bypassing their shield. The project setting trap then ends and has to be restarted.

You'd be hit by your own trap and have to reset it. I was think of a Mcgyver method of dealing with captors, nullifying the advantage they get by logining in, entering then leaving while people are offline.

1500g of iron? I'd rather build 7 locks.
Reality was never my strong point.

Net
300 grams small string

No tools needed

Use it to slow a person if successfully landed

Its a rubbish idea for a very small problem. For one, if someone finds a key(and that doesn't happen often) they need to find the house it belongs to. Two they aint going to be bothered about a litle bit of damage if they just found a key to a house where the owner viewd the contents worht putting a mantrap down. Three if what is inside is so valuable why would you want to get your leg smashed up every time you walked inside. And as for 1500 iron. Id rather buld ten rooms one after the other each with a lock on them!

My guess is that he's talking about one of his particular characters at the moment...it's just a guess but the name Duke is coming to mind...am I right AoL?

Which duke? Not that I was think of, mainly I was think of the fact that three of my characters have either been dragged into buildings in this form or been in towns where it has happend. But the people ignored the raw materials in the buildings and the tools, like in the A-Team and McGyver, so it got me thinking about that sort of trapping.
