By placing verbal stress on "NOW" indicates the focus is on the time, that everyone is indeed paying attention now, but the phrasing, along with the socially coded intonation, register, and tone indicates this 'command' is actually sarcasm.
You are so bad at decoding communication within a context/detecting sarcasm/anything that uses your brain.
I'm glad there is no relation between us.
No. The capital "NOW" meant that:
A) Nick can't type worth crap.
B) Nick's caps lock was on.
C) Nick was unaware that he was holding Shift.
D) Or, he just sucks at typing.
E) All of the above.
F) All of the above, to the exponent of 10.
If, however, he were putting stress on the word, he would put it in
bold, or
italics, am I not correct? Capitalizing a word does put stress on it, however in the context of typing, it merely makes the writer look stupid.
Although, Nick doesn't need to try there.
