Projects end with no description?

Postby mortaine » Mon Mar 07, 2005 6:31 pm

This has happened a couple of times now, where a project ends and there's no description "Project farming to get carrots ends, resulting in 800 grams of carrots, which fall on the ground" or what-have-you.

This is problematic in areas where one is supposed to announce those messages before picking things up from the ground.

*grumbel grumble* I thought I posted this to the support forum. Can someone from communication move it? Thanks.

Regardless of what people may want, you should never copy, paste, and say the project-completion reports. At least, not unless someone's explicitly told you to say it in that twisted and unnatural way in character...which they should never have done, I would think.

Doesn't help with or negate your problem, but I thought it needed to be said.

Yes, and I never do. However, it also becomes problematic when you finish an abandoned project and have no idea how much was generated from the result, and therefore have no way of knowing how much to pick up.

Moved. :)

Are these repeats? Because I don't believe it tells you when you finish a repeat. You only get a message at the end of the entire project, that message possibly only being for the last repeat though.

Yes, I think they are repeats. Thanks for the information-- I've been finishing up abandoned projects, then deleting the rest of the repeats once one rep has wrapped up, to clear out the old project queues.
