Take out all this new crap.

Postby Yo_Yo » Mon Feb 28, 2005 1:14 am

You know I remember an easier, more fruitful time in Cantr history. This was before I left. When I came back, everything changed. Its as if you all wanted to make this as hard as real life. I mean... I just don't even understand why we implimented half of these new options. We have tiredness, for what? I don't want my guy to get sleepy every time he grabs some carrots. And its always because you people want a use for some random meaningless thing. Tiredness got implimented because of what? You wanted your furniture to do something. Well I hope you enjoy sitting in your chair, cause my guy just fell asleep in the fields for picking up carrots. I mean I can rant for what seems like ages, so i'll just summon up what I want done. I want cantr back to what it was. Back when you always spawned in a town so you don't start off in a retarded mountain to starve. I hate the whole Hematite thing. You just cut some towns power in half. It just seems like Cantr became retardedly hard for no reason. Maybe its just me.

PS: I don't play a game to work.

Let's not start this again. If you want a different game. MAKE IT! OR else stop bitching.

Also this isn't a game. It's a society simulator. Society is hard therfor Cantr is hard. Deal with it. I'm tried of reading these types of threads.

I agree with your sentiments Swymir.

Cantr is an evolving society simulator, which undergoes processees to make it more realistic and conform to the demands of the players. I'm sure one reason why tiredness was implemented, beyond the 'real' factor, is the fact that there used to be 3 men massacres. This is a logical way to resolved the problem of 3 people massacring the whole town, just because they can drag people and never grow tired. Also, it helps encourage the Cantr social factor (and thus more roleplay) between characters, to work together. Judging by the tone of your post, you aren't very interested in that.

Although the changes do need to be refined and cleared through- I have confidence in the finished product. So please continue working on the changes, and make them work properly...and do not be demotivated by topics like this. :) Thank you.

I can't imagine anyone appreciate these kinds of posts - and they certainly aren't needed

Fine, you don't like the changes - join the club - many people don't like them to one extent or another...

They may not be perfect - but you could at least be contructive in your criticism, like many others are

Whatsmore, it is stupid to think that posts like this will change anything - I can hardly imagine anyone who is in a position to make changes will even open a thread like this...

Another 'the changes are crap' thread is not needed, and is not appreciated...

If you're playing cantr and you feel like you're working, then perhaps you're not playing it for the right reasons or understanding the way it is to be portrayed.

I say to all of you who keep continually making these posts (which Im tired of no matter which kind they are; complaining/suggesting/asking Q's about/bitching, they're getting sickening,)I figured you'd all would have given up by now, but its obvious you haven't but I so wish you would because what you're asking for DOES change Cantr completely. You're not going to be told how tiredness works. (Okay maybe there's a chance Jos would change his mind because you guys are bitching so much, but I almost doubt it would be because he really felt he should.) Take a deep breath and ignore the fact you have stat bars. Don't *CENSORED* look at them unless you absolutely have to. In example, when you're attacked. Otherwise, look in your inventory to see if you have food---to know if you'll be hungry soon and DONT worry about tired you are except for maybe every two days you need to pull yourself from a project and explain "Damn, I'm tired...I worked a little too hard I guess." Thats when the game will become fun again.

If you are going to obsess about the changes and what they do, how hard they are, of course it's going to feel like working rather than playing. God. Lots of others are playing their chars and here you guys are staring dumbly at your screens.."Did my tiredness move up two bars?" LOL Really!

*CENSORED*
CD EDIT: Missy, minding your language does apply to staff too. (Revanael)

I find changes a challenge....somewhat like a logic puzzel using irrational logic (hehe) figure them out, and roll with the changes, they will never go away, something will change again... and there will be more complaining. Either deal with the changes as they come, or go ahead and find something else you can spend 200 minutes on... :P

i'm sorry i thought a society simulator would be better if it was close t real life and would this easier cantr be back when you could be a single char who had no home and went around randomly killing and maiming for fun?

so if you spent 3 days in the feilds non stop picking carrots you wouldn't need sleep?

it also spread the power to other towns which before had none. what it's not fair that your town isn't all powerful because of a technical advance? tough titties

how about some feelings for the people who do work so that you can play the game? none of them are paid for it and all have other things that they could be doing with the time but choose to put their time into the game

At this point the thread should just be locked as no good can come from it.

It's good to see that a most people are able to adapt to changes whereas some are not. I have played other online games and there are always, always people whining about changes. The funny thing is that new players never seem to have problems with the changes made. Even funnier is that when the developers of a game decide not to change anything any more (because of the whining) the same people in due time start whining again because the game has gotten boring, because it is always the same!

Changes are good; learn to adapt.

So... what you're saying is that all towns should be equal? Yeah, that sounds realistic. It's much more realistic to make towns powerhouses rather than to spread out the wealth. With that logic it sounds like you are saying the USA should be as powerful as say Cuba.

And its a society simulator in a fantasy setting. Ready for that key word again? Fantasy.
