When is Sociologist joining the staff?

Postby julie2 » Sun Feb 20, 2005 3:12 pm

I really think he should.

Somebody mentioned he can't program. Pity.

OK so how about creating a System Analysis or Sensible Ideas Department just for Sociologist?

Nah, lose the question mark Nick, I thing too that the Sosiologist might be staff material. Of course that's his own business...

Well, it did seem to come out of nowhere, I was suprised to see it as a topic as there didn't seem to be any precedent, although I do agree

Well, he's made so many good points on so many different threads, it was hard to decide which thread the suggestion belonged on.

What I'm hoping for is a rush of agreement from everybody ese (looks pretty good so far), and...well...thought he might be kinda jolted into applying.

What really impressed me is that he's good at taking a holisitc view of the game, and considering all the implications of various changes to the system (both actual and projected). Most people just focus on their own particular bugbear, and just dont seem to realise that if you fix such-and-such-a-bug too rashly, you'll create a worse one somewhere else. I'm not getting at anybody else, I just mean that seems to be quite a rare talent.

In truth this thread is one way to shut me up in a hurry. So I'm hoping it'll disappear off the bottom of the page sooner rather than later after this last post.

I'm afraid this is just a little bit of my recreation time that I'm using up. I don't have much more to offer, so if I've been whining a lot, then it was just because I got worried about the state of things. I'm sorry.

School and college are the best days of your lives, you know. It never gets any better... in fact it gets a lot worse. Alas, I can't even remember school and college...
