No Stanley Cup??!!

So I hear today that it's practically official -- no NHL season! I think I had done pretty good all fall dealing with my hockey deficiency, but now I'm just depressed. What kind of crap is that? I'm even too far away from a minor league city to tide me over. :(

Any other depressed NHL fans out there?

So I have a theory that this will be better for North American hockey in the long run. I think it was beginning to get too popular (unfortunately that exists) and the money has been ruining it. Do you think some time off may let things cool down and reset...maybe let a few teams migrate back to Canada and where they belong?

Errr... too popular? Maybe in Canada, but not in the U.S., at least from what I know. Maybe it's better for Canadians...

They were starting to play games on network TV. That's popular enough to corrupt any sport in America. NASCAR is the latest victim. I'm watching the Daytona 500 right now, and I don't think they're ever gonna get to the race through all of these commercials and "musical" acts.

Depends on which state you are in, in the USA, My state is very into Hockey!! As am I !! It saddens me that there will be no NHL this year, I have heard rumor, that it won't be there next year...
When baseball did this, it caused a decline in the people who watched it..I think that it is going to create grudges held by fans...(cept me) and thus decrease thier followers!!!

Yeah, our state isn't very into hockey... probably because the blackhawks stink!
