If we think about the reasons for them killing Pirog, first thing in mind is that he was a considerable threat capable of cold logical thinking. But... notice that he was the first villager. So it could be that the werewolves weren't searching for someone special, they only selected the first one popping to their mind. This would lead to people who don't care much about plotting or debates.

I wasn't technically accusing anyone by eenie meenie minie mo, I just wanted to have someone defend themself by picking them in the most fair way. Each person should have to defend themself first, then we can start pointing fingers.
Just because you're older, smarter, stronger, more talented... doesn't mean you're BETTER.

*Yawns loudly* Hmm, sleeping late is nice, makes me feel much more rested. *walks outside, steps over some bodyparts, wipes the paper clean and goes back inside to drink a cup of coffee. 5 minutes later back outside, ogling the bodyparts, not believing his eyes*. What! Pirog! Torn! Apart!
What a shame. Someone should do something about that, especially if they start spreading bodyparts on my lawn.
I completely agree with Nixits illogical idea, since we have nothing better: I say we get the lynching party out and start lynching random people until we have a better understanding of what is actually happening!

Like it or not, we're going to have to accuse someone. We have to try to eliminate at least one of the werewolves before nightfall. And while our local seer/fool seems to be inactive, the werewolves certainly haven't. *grimly looks at Pirog's remains*
That more than likely means that at least one of the werewolves is an active speaker. I'm going to be honest and say that my suspicions still lie with you Seko. You can try to convince me otherwise, but I think something about you is different... laughing at Pirog's death certainly didn't help you in my perspective.

Well thank you AoM. But surely a werewolf would control themselves better and not try to get themselves killed? Besides you are all active people, maybe more so that me at the moment. How about sitting in here staring around suspiciously until the night falls and someone gets killed, since the higher post count obviously means you're more likely to be a beast?
Bad idea, huh? Now my spider sense is saying Nixit, just where's the mind in first saying we shouldn't accuse anyone and in the next moment telling we should, and quickly? Now there's no hurry, yet. Besides you look pretty devilish with that avatar.

Since nobody has any better idea...
*walks out to stand in the middle of all the villagers, then spins round on the spot, with his eyes closed*
OK, we should lynch...
*stops spinning, arm outstretched, pointing at one of the villagers randomly, then opens his eyes*
*looks surprised for a moment*
Neelix, that'd be you then.
(OOC: yes, that was more or less random of those who've actually spoken so far)

Now that I am fully awake I can perhaps explain why I at first acted the way I did: I had a long night sleep and was not fully awake and usually get out and get the paper before I do anything else. I was not fully awake and was scared very much once I realised what I had wiped off the paper.
After my initial scare, I have calmed down and believe indeed that it would not help to just lynch a random person. I am however not of the opinion that we should look for someone who is active. I have two reasons why we should pick someone who is not active:
1) If someone is a werewolf they might not be awake yet or be very sleepy. They also do not have any reason to make themselves known yet.
2) People who have not yet involved themselves in the discussion about who are to blame for this, are of no help now. And chances are that they will stay like this and be of no help at all.

I disagree with your second point entirely, Neelix. I will never knowingly try to lynch a villager merely because they are of no "use" now. Most likely they'll wake up sooner or later, and even if they don't, they're still helping us keep the odds against the werewolves, so they ARE of use to us.
While it may be prudent for one werewolf to pretend to be a sleeper, I would think that the other one would be trying to throw in at least some kind of minimal discord. After all, what if we DID go with Neelix's suggestion? Then if both werewolves remained silent, there would be a greater chance that one of them would be chosen from the remaining sleepers.
Speaking of which, let's observe who are the remaining sleepers. *he looks at all the people who have gathered in the square thus far* We have many people here. We're only missing 2. Spiderbites, and Social Moth. Assuming that at LEAST one of them is the fool/seer, then if the werewolves were at all aware, they would both be speaking. Otherwise, under Neelix's plan, there would be a 50/50 shot of bagging a werewolf on the first night.
I choose to not underestimate the werewolves. In their situation they have to play a very calculated game. I suggest that in all liklihood, both werewolves have spoken, but most likely one hasn't said much.

Nixit, Revanel, and Swymir have all advocated a random lynching. I find this abhorrent. I cannot for the life of me imagine that a villager would advocate lynching a fellow villager, and yet one villager must be doing so, for *three* people have suggested this plan.... and conveniently come up with their own "random" method for lynching someone.
This is disgusting. You three ought to be ashamed of yourselves. At least one of you is a werewolf, of that I have no doubt-- only a werewolf is so callous. Or I had thought so. To the villager or villagers among you three, for shame. For shame. A fellow innocent has been brutally slain, and your reaction is to draw straws for killing another? At the very least, take some time to consider who you truly *think* is a killer, and vote for them. Randomly lynching any villager only plays into the werewolves' hands. We cannot afford to kill any innocents; the werewolves will do enough of that for us!
And Seko-- to be honest, your reaction surprised me, but shock can do strange things to a person. I hope, very sincerely, that your laughter was hysterics, and not joy at the obvious suffering of another.

Well said, Mortaine. How would a random lynching help anything? We should try and work out who they are, not just leave it to chance. Who knows, the Seer might be able to work it out for us, but what happens if we accidently lynch the seer first? What a great move that would be...
