Fun games and activities

No, they're not like Cantr at all, but maybe that's a good thing. Once in a while, you have to get away from the computer, no?

Here are three of the diversions I enjoy:

Geocaching - treasure hunting with a GPS receiver.

Letterboxing - treasure hunting with just clues and a compass.

The Stone - A mysterious website devoted to solving puzzles (there are thousands of puzzles on the site). The answers to the puzzles are usually things that are "real" and concrete. For instance, the answer to one I solved yesterday was the name of a painting by a famous painter. Sometimes, answers include clues to solving later puzzles.

A fun game involving cows. You must get one (the grey one, I think) cow to the cup, by using the arrows. It's fun.

I played the cow game, took quite long to figure it out and second level was really hard. Finally I got to level 11 but I just can't solve it. Haha, the cow does a little dance when you solve a level!

that kept me amused for a little while - can never go wrong with dancing cows... Stuck on level 16 though...

I thought the original post was about things apart from on a computer...

How do you get past level five? Seems impossible, with only two lefts.

Some fun homespun (well not really with nethack) games I used to play till my eyes bled:

Decker

Nethack
http://www.nethack.org/

Neither is online, but they're fun and don't need a lot of space or speed. Good times.
Reality was never my strong point.

Play rogue - the game Nethack owes its existence too :p - Rogue is the original... Just search on goolge for it - there's thousands of versions, all exactly the same...

Also - http://www.the-underdogs.org - great if you have lots of disk space - I'm currently playing System Shock...
