OK, it makes a better story to say "Ow-- I barely hurt that beast!" than to say "Oh, man-- I hit for 0 damage!" (To be fair, though, were I a hunter in RL, I would be more likely to say the latter, but that's because I have that vocabulary and culture from gaming.... and because if I hit something, the chances of me actually harming it is about 0....)
The kinds of notes that I, as a runner, have made about my exercise results don't usually include "10% more tired than yesterday." Usually it's much larger chunks than that: "Wow-- what a workout! I must be really out of shape this week; seems so much harder to do!" and "Things are going well-- ran the same distance and same time, but wasn't nearly as sore-- go me!" Most athletes in training keep some sort of diary to help figure out what works best for themselves; I personally think that should be ok in the game, even if the person keeping the log marks down percentages. After all, an athlete really in tune with their body *is* able to say "I rested twice as well last night as the night before" or "I'm still only about 95%-- just not at the top of my game this week."
When it comes right down to it, an OOC note that says "I rested and got only 2% from all day" is such a minor thing, and so borderline, it's not worth dealing with, in my opinion.

I like wulf's idea and how it would be more IC friendly.
Something i don't like about the bar of tiredness is that it won't get better. By that i mean...let me give you an example:
You go work out, once your done you find your very tired and sore...couple days pass and you recover, and they you go back in and do it again, you get tired but less time passes for you to recover and then you go back in and do the same thing and your not as tired and you recover faster and then you can do more and get less tired so you energy is higher or something and you won't get as tired...understand what I'm trying to say? You should be able to improve the energy you get.

Spider, I'd thought that that would be the case with the new skills system-- there was talk that the skills were trainable. Or is the whole strong/weak thing just decided at spawning and never changeable? If that's the case, my characters might as well suicide now. Most of them are nearly dead anyway, and they're all "weak."
