Go USA date representation! I ALMOST fooled a bartender in Bath when I was 17 with my American school ID... it took him a while, but eventually he put it together and told me to get out.

By the way, I'm in on this game. Arrooooooooo! *<-- Howling at moon.*

Ok fine then, I'll join. Seems like I can't use missing the final date as an excuse. *Muttering:* I'm gonna regret this...

With Seko and me, that makes 10. We need one more for an odd number. Best to have 3 more, so we can start our cursed by lucky 13!

So how many werewolves are we working with? 2? and 1 seer? Is that it?

I've never played with more than 8 people...

Since we have so many, we can play with a wolf's baner, perhaps.

We should have a devil, otherwise there'll be too many good guys.

I think Hallucinatingfarmer should decide, secretly, if there's going to be additional roles or not, so we'll only know about the werewolves and seer. That way, we can (a) pretend to be a role we're not, and (b) no one will know if there's a devil working for the werewolves!

What does a devil do? Try to find the seer?

Probably... And the werewolves don't know the devil so he might wanna let them know he's supposed to be on their side.

It would be ok to hide what special roles there are - exept for one thing, if there's a fool. Since if there's a chance your visions are all crap then you're going to be acting much differently than if you can really count on them. Even in the last game when I knew they had to be correct, I kept feeling nervous. If there are two seer of which one is a fake then you're surely not going to reveal yourself to someone even if you got a vision of their innocence. Now if the seer and the fool would find each other then it might be useful if they could compare their visions - the ones that match gotta be true.

If you don't know if there is a fool or not, then the seer would never *completely* know if they had true visions or false, but should play as if they either believe in their visions, or not, depending on their personality.

And if you weren't the devil but made a really lucky guess about who they were, your strategy could be to feed false information to the werewolves and lead them into a trap.

I don't really see what the fool would add to the game...
It's hard enough as it is for the villagers and adding a wrong seeer would only make things even more impossible..

What would it add? Uncertainty, my friend, uncertainty. *annoying smile*

Even fools get lucky sometimes. And even though the fool would get a false vision from everyone else, they will know when they bump into another one with seeing ability. At that point he knows that one of them is the one, though not which one.

Ah well, I'll just have to wait and see how it is going then. I only played this once, IRL, in mafia style.

It would be cool if all this ooc chatter would be deleted when the game starts, so that we wouldn't need to wade through it all searching for the game itself.
