And seems like Cantr is back up
Anyone there? Was I the first to notice? You see now why the forums should be on different server, last two days we've been crying in YIM and no one is ever on.

I most definitely agree. Without the forum, I have nowhere to moan about not having Cantr.
Anyway *points* back to Cantr people! I need my daily Cantr fix! 3 days worth, in fact.

I had fifty-something minutes left, now I have 27 but since there ain't so many people yet I'm saving them a bit later. Ok I wasn't first I noticed, there was at least three people before me I think... But do I still get a prize?
Because I started a topic first, if not counting Agar's on the other forum. Boy I hope all the things we're writing are not jamming the server again.

Wow...after having been unable to get online since Friday thanks to a power cut (caused by major flooding - the end of my road looked like this: http://www.phillipsuk.org/images/flood/img002.jpeg.html), I was expecting to have missed loads of stuff, possibly including the starvation of one of my characters! I've barely had anything to catch up on!

Seko: No, those of us on IRC noticed at 2021 GMT. Your post was at 2106 GMT. And Jos told us it was up and running at 2029 GMT. Yes, we started playing again 8 minutes before he told us it was running again.
I suggest more people set up MIRC or another IRC client on their computers so they can connect to the IRC channel during times of major problems like that, to see what's happening. That and Y!IM become the major chains of communication at that point, and the applet on the front page becomes inaccessible if the entire server is down. (Not that it's likely to happen again, I hope!)
And guess who got the first forum post in after the servers came online again? Yup. Sorry, it was me, accusing you, Seko!

Only my fifth day as a Cantrian, and already I'm getting withdrawal symptoms when the server is down!
Managed to contact Jos by email, eventually, and suggested that maybe Anthony could put a notice on his website, as I knew where to find that, so presumably others would too. It didn't happen, but that might be something else to bear inb mind as an emergency measure.
I agree wholeheartedly, though. putting the discussion board on a different server would be the ideal solution. But.. won't that cost?
