Too tired
Is it me or are cantrians really weak? I mean I have a char That's been resting for (no joke) 1 week and a half now. He was just working on getting potatoes... I myself have done this before in the past and have never had to rest for damn near 2 weeks to recover. I think it's ridiculous and needs to be fixed
I suggest cutting however long it takes to rest now in half.

If you are working on a project that has repeats, you aren't going to get any rest, you will get more tired. If you're working on a large project, you will get 2% a day while working, before it finishes. If you stand around doing nothing, you get 4% a day.
It is a completely accurate and fair simulation of socciety to have people reduced to beggars and stand around for 2 and a half years before being rested from a few days work.

Much more. You currently recover 4% per day and people are suggesting from 25%-50% per day. I agree with at least 25% and double that with a "resting machine" or whatever.
I really can't take it anymore and it's killing the game.

All right, everyone saying they're resting, see my breakdown of different ways to rest? Make sure that if you want to get your 4% a day, you aren't working on anything. No digging, no hunting, no participating, no dragging, heck, I bet even dragging a note will make you tired.
Cots and the like, they probabally haven't made those do anything yet, but I haven't had anything of the sort to test that theory out on. I just think they're too busy fixing the bugs that have come up, been made, and transferring "brand new" on to more stuff.

Does that answer you point, Riddrev? Furniture has not been implemented yet, but it will be soon, hopefully.

WEll, if Riddev's character is actually just standing around and doing nothing, it provides an interesting note. If your strong and weak describors indicate a scale in recovering tiredness ... some people might want to switch carrers or at least work habits.
From what I've seen, you can talk, whisper, point, and move within location with out getting tired.
Travelling on a boat or vehicle or initiating, but not working on, projects, I don't know yet. They might hinder recovery or generate thier own tiredness.

If you are filling up the entire tiredness bar chances are high that you are doing something that your character really sucks at.
Instead of working them to death, find something they are good at and trade resources...that is was the entire change is about.

Actually if you're filling up your bar, it's because you're working on a project with repeats, and there's STILL a bug in the way tiredness is assigned on projects.
I haven't seen any difference in how tired two different people get when doing the same work. But, I haven't really been looking for one either... hmmm

I'm not certain this is the right thread but I have an idea to reduce tiredness.
Implement the Arts.
If you have someone who makes a violin, a harp, a flute or some such musical device and then does a a project to play said instrument, all the people listening would get a boost to their health (or reduce tiredness). If the bard or musician plays for a group, the people not involved in projects (and therefore have idle time) would get 6% instead of 4% added back. People who are working in the fields or mining or such might get 4% instead of 2% back. The "music project" could be for half a day--I can't see any musician playing straight for 8 hours.
The downside would be that the musician would not get any benefit (or a reduced rate). But it would encourage the citizens to take up music. Or offer hospitality to a traveling musician.

I want musical instruments! Seriously! Even if they serve no obvious purpose for now... I want to have a flute or violin. Pretneding to have one would be a CR breach wouldn't it? So can they at least be implemented as inanimate objects for now. Please!!
