Change of degredation terminology

Postby The Industriallist » Thu Dec 16, 2004 12:17 am

Maybe it's just me, but I find:

a brand new x
a brand new y
a brand new z

a bit hard to read...maybe it could change to something like

x (brand new)
y (brand new)
z (brand new)

?
It just seems to me what the item is is more important than it's state of repair.

I agree, it would be much easier on the eye.

I'd rather see colours.

But you know, just a change of where the words are will do, plus will be much simpliar to understand...

rklenseth would probably shoot me for implementing this... he has just removed all the "A"'s before the item description because these were in the quality description... ("a brand new" etc), thus fixing the "A brand new a sabre" problem. This would mean he'd all have to add them back in... what do you say, rkl?

Oh yeah *Snicker* I forgot he did that. Yeah, I think he'd be pretty upset. But you know... easier to put them all back in now, before it was too late when -all- items had it... then he'd be more than pissed. I'm sure he can recruit someone to help him... like... not me... >.>

By saying 'no comment', you in fact posted a comment.

And by posting a comment here, so did I.

Sorry to diverge, but how did the whole thing about saying 'meep' become popular? I am not knocking it, I am just curious.
The only thing that I know that naturally goes 'meep' is a Lovecraftian ghoul.

So does the Roadrunner.

But it doesn't matter. Please don't go on topic. This is Suggestions, not General Discussion or OOC Discussion.

*hands Jur a shotgun for defense from RKL*

I think the Industrialist's idea is a good one.

Would that be an IC or an OOC shotgun? You see if it's an OOC one I couldn't accept it cause I'm a strict pacifist. If it's in IC one, well... let's just say I don't have that problem then...
