Using the old, more effect method now means about a year's recuperation, yes, while my character who cut 6kg of wood doesn't care because it was foolishly only 2 projects. Could you perhaps come up with a method of undoing all the harm that the shift-without-information caused? Say, blank tiredness and restart. Or just give a reasonable %daily recovery (such as 10-25%) so that it wouldn't be a big problem. I hold that, if no injury is involved, a person can be fully rejuvenated in 3 days.
Is it a breach for characters to have figured the system out? My characters have because they're using the poor-but-now-better style of project generally, and I see no reason why they can't tell people if they feel like it, but considering how it's a sin even for players to understand Cantr I have to wonder if characters can.
Finally, it'd be nice to know if the problem is still existant. I want to return to the superior, hourly projects once they stop being crippled.

I have a few characters that their only concern is that the outside/ground is kept clean - they bury the bodies, move resources etc...and occasionally have to deal with the stupid thief. Both of these characters are completely exhausted. Burying the bodies is not worth it to them anymore in what it takes out of them in strength. Pretty soon their towns are going to look like Krif - bodies and resources on the ground everywhere.

I agree, Tiredness is ridiculous.

I have a ruler in a town who can no longer keep order, because of his fatigue (can't chase/harm criminals, can't hunt, can't bury the dead (newspawns like to delete in his location, and with the rash of deaths recently, there's lots of burying to be done).

I enjoyed the industry of this game, and with the pace already being as dreadfully slow as it is, what is the point of instituting a system that causes the game to run EVEN slower, by necessitating EVEN more resting?

I mean, a player is only capable of playing 200 mins/day, and with all other considerations, much less actually. It should already be assumed that there are periods of resting and the such, why enforce this tiredness nonesense, that forces characters to sit around for DAYS doing nothing while all hells break loose around them, leaving them unable to do ANYTHING productive or defensive to keep things under control?

I've noticed one of my characters who had been working non stop inside is not tired at all. He went outside and hunted for a bit and became 20-30% tired, then went indoors and carried on working. A few days later and he's no longer tired. Could this be the cure? :D

How did you get 20-30% tired hunting animals? I can only imagine getting there by hunting people. Stilll...that's an interesting note...

Yeah, indoors has something to do with it, and cots/beds help I'm pretty sure.
Just because you're older, smarter, stronger, more talented... doesn't mean you're BETTER.

I think the recovery of tiredness should be faster if you aren't working, but if you are, you shouldn't recover at all.

maybe like 60% recovery a day if you dont work.

And then for every hour you work, you get 4% tired, whatever work it is, so by the end of the day you would be 48% tired and need to sleep, and people wont work full days anymore. probably like 3 turns a day.

and when you hit people you get 5% tired....

anyways, i can't think of anyway the tiredness system could ever be perfect.....
