Well the names cannot be too weird because otherwise we'd just keep forgetting them. I still don't remember the name of my rolemaster character. In one game I named my character Temeka Armfield using the name generator that can be found with google, anyway because the name is not so visible I totally forgot that was my name and was surprised to notice it -- took me a while to remember where I got it. Anyway, don't let me turn things too complicated. (*Glances around in panic* Argh now they're gonna kill me on first turn, I just know it!)

Ok - there are seven players. I'll hand out roles later tonight, to give a bit of extra time for more people to sign up.

If you want to be known by a different name - PM it to me, and I'll put it next to your forum name on the sign-up list - so that others (and yourself :)) don't forget it...

I want another name but I don't know what it could be. Maybe using Temeka again would sound a bit too weird... :?

THE GAME HAS BEGUN

Just to mention again - if your deaded - you're deaded - Full stop--->.

I have PM you all with your roles - these have been randomly selected and are final...

The first phase will be night time - the werewolves are to agree on their victim - the seer will have their first vision - the villagers are asleep.

I will announce daytime once the I have received PMs from the werewolves, and the seer and I have replied...

The story begins...

Thunder and lightning crashed around the village, the air heavy with a deep sense of foreboding.

Certain villagers were staying up in expectation of the worst. Families huddled together with the fire on, twitching in fright at the movement of mere shadows.

And then... dawn

"Oh." Said the villagers.

The clouds passed over head and the sun shone again. The night had passed without event, and the villagers breathed a collective sigh of relief.

That day, life in the village continued as normal.

Two friends wandered into the forest towards a certain spot they knew was good for trout fishing. They had been walking for sometime when they were startled by a movement in the undergrowth. They both stepped forward to investigate. A huge beast jumped out at them, snarling, eyes glowing a deep red. Being quick thinkers, they drew their hunting rifles and fired.

They missed...

But it was enough - the beast bounded away in terror, and the two friends survived with nothing more than a few scratches. They were, nevertheless, quite shaken, and so headed back towards the village.

By the time they had returned, the scratches were no longer visible, and they thought nothing more of their incident, and went to their homes to rest.

The next night was not nearly so terrible, there was a clear sky and a non-distinct moon. Everyone knows nothing bad happens when there's a non-distinct moon, so all the villagers went to sleep quite peacefully.

Meanwhile, in the houses of the two friends, something awful was occuring. They were simultaneously going through immense agony, as their bones stretched, thier internal organs morphed.

But quietly, mind you, so as not to wake any of the villagers...

These new savage beasts knew nothing but hunger. Hunger for human flesh...

At the same time, another villager was having a restless sleep. They were having nightmares; flashes of extreme horror, mingled with 2001: A Space Oddessy - style psychadelic effects, enough to keep anyone awake...

HallucinatingFarmer, perhaps you should let people know that you changed the first message... otherwise people won't know that you added something.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the new start.

I've also heard of this game, as "Are You a Werewolf," which is made and sold by Looney Labs (but you can also get the instructions for free on their website). Looney also makes Fluxx, Chrononauts, and a ton of other cool games.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can see why you were so convinced that I was a werewolf, Ree héhé
Meanwhile, *I* was convinced your behaviour was some kind of sneaky ploy to wiggle information, or a confession, out of me.
Too funny, this qui-pro-quo.

LOL I was wondering about the silence... thought that someone who comes around only rarely had been selected as a werewolf and they couldn't decide things because of that. If we had gotten to the voting I would have said trage because to my knowledge his computer time is limited because of school. Seems like you can't trust ooc info.

Hmm...I wouldn't mind trying, but from the link it really seems like this game is funny partly because of the wild accusations and tactics that I doubt will happen in this written form.

Ok - I'm gonna start agin - but bare in mind that I get aceess to the forums only little, so I'm going to ask those who are werewolves and the seer to e-mail me their decisions (to n.rush-cooer@dial.pipex.com) if you just put 'cantr werewolf game' in the subject - i'll check it and get things rolling on the forum. You'll get a PM soon with your new (correct) roles... have fun...
EDIT:mortaine - did you want to sign up, or was that just a plug? ;)

The village gods saw that things were wrong - the villagers were confused - schizophrenic - unsure who... or what... they were...

In a blinding flash of light, all was fixed... the gods made known to each who exactly they were... there will was done...

The villagers are in deep sleep - and, as before, two of their number are deforming horribly, and another is dreaming strange dreams...
