A machine that can only be built outside. Requires a bit of stone/wood to make, project requires one dead body and x amount of wood/coal/charcoal. Results in a few grams of ashes...

But it takes much less time to use, and can burn multiple bodies at once.

Otherwise, what's the point?

Just to be an alternative...I don't think the point is efficiency considering the value of wood.

I wasn't thinking of efficiency - just as a way of having a lasting reminder of dead people - maybe have an 'urn' as new new type of storage that can only hold a few grams... :)

And the urn can be named, 'The remains of John Smith' or whatever. So those dead town elders can be remembered.
