I haven't had any chars involved with yours lately Samantha, but have in the past and I just want to wish you good luck. I know how you feel, I have to fight myself everyday now to keep from canceling my account mostly for the same reasons you have for quiting, but I wont' go there, because I wouldn't be so nice about it as you are. The only thing keeping me around at the moment is unfinished business on K isle, soon as that's taken care of I'll also be quitting, assuming I can tolerate things for that long...

Oh, and I guess I only have one character that interacts with one of sammi's, and that character won't be missed much from his eyes. I don't know why you took our IC disagreements so personally, but I guess since you're leaving that doesn't matter too much anymore.

Just strange.. was really good IC friends with her on 2 characters and didn't know it..

then there was another one where her and my character butted heads and she was planning on actually killing my character haha...

Actually there was a message made to all players specifically saying that you are not suppose to insult players outside of character or in it.

You guys should publicize what we can or cannot do. Because if I feel oppressed in expressing my views, or that others are, I don't see the point of using the Official Cantr Forums.

Player bashing has never been welcome in the forums. Everyone is welcome to speak their mind, but name calling, direct attacks on a player, etc., will be moderated if it is felt necessary.

A player does not have to read any thread he or she does not choose to. It is apparent that the player who posted that message is taking IC issues and turning them into OOC issues with the player of chars he doesn't like.

That is specifically disallowed.

Also, when a message is deleted from a thread by a moderator, players are not welcome to re-post it/quote it.

Hi Nitefyre and others,
What is or isn't allowed in the forums hasn't changed. What has changed is that there is now an active group of players who are enforcing the already existing rules. This is why forum moderation has become more obvious, and may also be causing some confusions.

Here's the rules, in general:

-Don't turn an IC issue into an issue with the player of the involved chars.
If anyone would like to talk further about how to apply that, questions are always welcome.

-Don't name-call, especially if it involves cursing.
There may be exceptions to this. For example, if a player jokingly says, "I'm such a jerk," and someone else jokingly responds, "Yeah, you are a jerk ", then it's unlikely to be moderated. I'm referring more to the kind of name-calling that is an attack against the player.

-Don't directly use someone in a sexual reference.
Saying, "I'm sexy," is highly unlikely to be moderated, but saying, "I'm sexy, and (player name) wants to (something sexual)," would be moderated.

The CD can certainly help give a better idea of what will or won't be moderated, and the best place to put questions for now might be in the General Support forum.

I have a problem with her OOC behavior. This thread is just a cry for attention.

My characters have a problem with her characters, but I'll leave that issue alone.

If a player posts something like this, in effect saying "I quit", but then doesn't would the PD be justified in removing the players characters?

I do aplogise for being insulting, I did cross the line, I am sorry. Lack of cantr makes a man surly.

No, the PD would never remove a players characters because of that! Only upon a carefully considered request (carefully considered by the player), or if they've been a very very bad player.
