I can go, assuming I can get enough money for the trip. Would it be one day only? I'd only be able to stay for a day, depends how much the hotel is, because I certinaly won't be able to catch two busses in the same day.

Let's see, just for humour, I will use Grayhound to check bus schedules for March 15th, departing Chatham, and March 16th, departing Ottawa.

Bus # 2122 - Leaves Chatham, Ontario at 12:35
- Arrives in Ottawa, Ontario at 23:45
- That's an 11 hour bus ride. Oh God, why?
- Cost: $251.88 Round-Trip Ticket.

Bus #6205 - Leaves Ottawa, Ontario at 11:30
- Arrives in Chatham, Ontario at 22:35
- That's another 11 hour bus ride. Ugg.
- Cost: $0. Using return trip portion of ticket.

So, I'd arrive in Ottawa at 11:45 at NIGHT, have to find a hotel to stay in to sleep for 6 hours, wake up at 6 AM, go to the convention for a few hours, and then hop on the bus at 11:30 AM to return home at 10:35 the next day. Perhaps if I stayed a full day, and left the next morning would be better. Sadly, the earliest bus to leave Chatham is at 12:35, always. So I can't leave earlier. Bleh. I need to sit around on my ass for 22 hours? I could do that if I had a laptop. I better have a laptop by March! Otherwise, you can kiss my ass out of this convention :P

It could be however long people want to stay and however much is reasonable money-wise, as well. Obviously we dont want to have people coming down just to meet up for an hour or two, so I imagine it will be a long meeting.

I just really hope it doesnt turn into a brawl, fighting over who gets to use the hotel computer to check their cantrians.

As long as this hotel computer doesn't log our passwords, we all can come to a comprimise.

Anthony: "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THAT COMPUTER, BEFORE I ANNOY YOU TO HELL!"
Nick: "...You can have it, Anthony."
West: "Yeah, man, I didn't want to check my characters that bad."
Kat: "All yours, jailbait."

Okay, I voted Yes, but it's a "wants to attend", not "can attend". It would depend on the weekend, as I'm a shift worker. I am off the weekend of the 12th, and the 26th, hint hint. :P

I will do everything I can to be there, as it's only 2 hrs away from me. Money might be an issue, but if the hotel is reasonable, and we share rooms, I can hopefully swing it. If I am not in Hawaii at the time, that is *giggles* And if not, and I haven't spend every dime I have while I was there. *giggles some more*

I like the idea of meeting in a hotel. We could rent a hospitality suite to meet in if it's not too expensive, get our rooms in a block perhaps. Go out to dinner together. Take over the pool for a couple of hours. OMG, I'm getting excited.
Beer's in Anthony's room! Last one there's a rotten potatoe! :D

Check out hotels.ca...............look at the Chimo. Prices are reasonable, they have a pool and hottub, and it's right downtown. Just a suggestion, but I think the pool and hottub are a must. :P

Heehee....But it would be more like "Back away Jailbait or I will step on you!"
When people tell me that great minds think alike, all I can do is look at them and think "oh you dirty, dirty bastard"

Beer in Anthony's room? That's the last place you'd find it.

I'm a little bit worried about the weather in early March. Are you going to be in Ontario during the summer months at all, Nick?

That's a good point, early march up there could mean alot of possible snow/ice and travel difficulties. Is there a specific reason you wanted it in march, Nick?

I dont think I will be in Ontario this summer. I wanted to hold it in March Break because well, I will be visiting there in March anyway.

Come on guys, its not all that bad in March in all of Canada. Ottawa is not too far from the states. :P

I wanna go too! Let's all cross MY fingers that I get a job to pay for the trip.

I'm going to start a second poll, right here. We already know who wants to go, so, out of those people, if it were guaranteed that I would be there, who would pull out? ;)

I don't think it should be, unless the convention becomes a "for sure" event. In which case, more than just the topic becoming a sticky would be smart. It would probably become advertised as an in game message if it were "for sure".

Nick, could I request that you find a smaller avatar? That one is way way too big and messes up the layout...
