Thanks unequivocally

Postby Stan » Fri Dec 03, 2004 3:03 am

I definitely want to say thanks to all the staff that volunteers to keep the game going. We've been tough on you about the tiredness issue as well as some of the other changes.

Regardless, I'm still very grateful and I would think that some of the people leaving are no less grateful for the fun you've helped provide.

THANKS! :D

I as well appreciate how much work you guys put into this game to make it great. I myself have been building a first-person shooter for several months now and I am still trying to make a functional map that you can move around in.

Before you say anything just note that the game is pretty shitty. It almost had a Wolfenstein 3D feel to it. In fact it is almost exactly Wolfenstein so far.

Thanks to everyone for this game.

Thank you, Jos, for all your hard work and the spark of inspiration that makes it unique.

Thanks to all the volunteers who work, in their various ways, to maintain and improve the working parts and to moderate the sensitive interactions.

And thanks to all the players who make it live.

I’ve had many months of fun and learned things beyond my own estimation.

Yes, we need threads like this now and then.

I hope you people who work with Cantr understand that negative criticism almost always takes more place and that some of us who dislikes certain features still likes the game a lot.

Cantr is a great game. I talk about it with one of my friends at work. My roomates hate this game though. For much the same reason about my feelings towards everquest. I talk about this and they don't understand a word I am saying and they talk about that and I don't understand a word they are saying. Now I make no sense and I hope most of know not to even bother reading my posts.

Go cantr. and congratz and a kick ass game. Cantr not Everquest
I am the Dragon Slayer. And as long as I have my friends behind me. I will never fall.

I wanted to take the opportunity to express my thanks to the creators, staff members, and players of Cantr. I really can't remember having so much fun playing a game.....and obviously it is because of the many intelligent, creative people who continually work on improving the game and who play the game regularly that make it so.

Seeing what the game was over two years ago and what it is today, I know that a lot of work has been done and a lot of things have changed. So I thank all the staff members who have given their time to help make this game the success that it is. I also thank all the donators whose hard earned money keep Cantr alive and allows Cantr to expand. And the players as well who might not always agree with the changes but in the end stick with us.

But I have to especially thanks Jos for taking his time to create this game as well as money. If it wasn't for him then we wouldn't be thanking everyone else above.

Thank you all.

*Blows kisses to everyone* Thank you! Thank you! Oh, I'm so glad to be receiving the first ever annual "Thank Anthony the Best Staff Member" Award. Oh it makes me giddy inside just thinking about what type of chocolate this trophy is made of *Kisses it* Hmm, tastes like Dutch!

I... I'd like to thank Jos, our God, for his hard work and dedication. Oh, and his money. Without his money, we'd be non-existant. And... I'd like to thank Thomas for his hard work with Programming and Bug fixing, and Judith along those same lines, as well as language translations. I'd like to offer my thanks to... to Sico van der Meer and Wim van de Griendt for their wonderful background work that no one knows about (Not even -I- do, GASP). Cathy, and Cosmo, no one forgets you two either!

*Rubs a tear* Oh, this is so touching. I'd like to thank... the Resources Department for taking me under their wing, and teaching me the way of the 'RD', all those members there, a heart-felt kiss out to you! I'd... like to thank the Players Department, because they watch over us every day, like little angels in the sky - especially that hottie angel Missy Seese - what a hottie angel! The Programming Department, thank you so very much for keeping this game *Sniff* this game alive and well... without you, we'd be nothing, really! I can't forget the Marketing Department for bringing new players to the game! Oh, and New Lands Department for getting my damn boat lost looking for a land that doesn't exist! *Wipes another tear* Oh my! The Languages Department for translating this game into other languages, obviously, I thank them even though I don't speak those languages! I... I must thank the Administrative Support Department, and Game Administration Board, without them, no one would know why Netty is so weird. I also must thank (Although grudgingly) the new Communications Department... for... oh, hell, they haven't done anything good (Kidding! :D) - Lastly, I must thank MYSELF, for just being an awesome (And arrogant) Staff Member! OH I LOVE MYSELF! *Kisses the air*

I... I accept this award on behalf of all the staff members, however, I'll be the one eating the chocolate inside because I'm hungry *Bites the tinfoil that covers the head* I want chocolate... ERM. We, the staff members, we thank you! We couldn't have been this great without each other!

*Jumps into the audience* GROUP HUG GUYS!!! (Awwww)

Well spoken, Anthony, well spoken. *claps politely*

I'd like to add my thanks in as well. This game has truly been a wonderful past time of mine for the last year, both the game itself and this wonderfully odd forum that we have.

It's not possible without a dedicated bunch of people behind the scenes, and though we players may complain, we do so because we care about what you guys do for us. You guys (and hottie gals) are all real troopers, and we appreciate your hard work.
