Hand husking cotton

When cotton is harvested IRL, it has a husky shell covering the white cotton fibre. Removing this husk is time consuming, but can be done by hand. However, the cotton gin is a remarkably simple invention that allows the husk to be removed quickly and without the tough labor that is required in hand-husking (you basically have to pry the husk open with your fingers, which hurts!)

So, some characters in cantr have time and cotton on hand. Can we have a project to hand husk the cotton? It's time consuming, but doesn't require iron, and making iron can be time consuming and dangerous, depending on who controls the resources.

I agree that it should be possible to do it by hand. Cotton doesn't require iron to use. But the time taken should be very long to discourage people from always doing it this way.

I just put your suggestion about hand husking into Suggestions because it would be served better here rather than in General Support as General Support is about reporting bugs or complaining about an issue.

Problem: in cantr, everything requires a machine. Now there is a simple cotton gin with no iron, so the problem's resolved to some degree, I think.

You ought to be able to do hand-husking at a table, say. really you ought to be able to do it on the floor, but that breaks the machine system.
