Well, it's been four days.

Caleb Darkener.

He was always a piece of sh** and should have been hung and quartered way sooner.

He is my last "mover n shaker" - I only have RPers and simmers left (this may change). Given this, I was really, really excited to FINALLY ask who were the players who interacted with Caleb. I've literally been waiting forever to ask this, including some DL people.

Full disclaimer: In the most WTF thing that has ever happened to me, I decided to spawn a couple of characters after Caleb. So... while I have been waiting patiently to meet and discover the players he interacted with, if you're in DL..... then...... argh.... (yes... wtf) :| I'll leave it up to you.

Generally speaking, Caleb was a staunch ally to his friends. He would give up everything everything for them (as well as risking it all for them). This created a dichotomy of either him being absolutely hated, or loved. The ratio was like 30 to 1, though, and it was just unfortunate that all his really good friends kept dying.

Aren't you no longer allowed to ask who played what these days?

I'll confirm with PD now in the General Support thread. I thought it was okay because he's dead. Hold off on reaching out to me until then guys.

I can't see why that would be a rule breach anyway, because even by posting here, people who want to send you a PM are going to. There's effectively little difference - except for the fact that I'm actually expressing that I'm open to chatting if people want to reach out.

Great job with this character. I can really appreciate a good villain these days. This game could use a few more of them

It was such a surprise to see Lilo die! Daisy passed out all the cloth he had made among the townsfolk for everyone to make something to remember him by. And, a project for his room is set up in the mausoleum.

Another character of mine never really talked to Oscar, but I did meet him briefly.

Carrot Lord wrote:Wallow. This one is painful to write, actually. He hits very close to home. Wallow spawned with more womanly parts. He was more of a they when it all began. (I was too confused to realize I had spawned a girl and not a boy so I WENT WITH IT.) He hated Blerk Hills and ran away with Chrissy and Yumi and- oh boy. OOOOH BOY. Manuel Ferro showed up and they became pirates and yes, they killed lots of people, and yes, they kidnapped a Grizzly, saved a Marble, and a Casia. Cresto joined voluntarily. It was great. Then... well, Manuel died and so did the crew's everything? They got divided and it ended up with them somewhere in Fu. Thanks, Storm in a Teacup crew. We were the greatest.

I knew a whole lot of yours but Wallow was the one I knew best. He was Marble's best friend and it really sucked when Marble left Wallowtown. That crew really was fun, even though things stalled when we ended up in the Middle Of Nowhere, Fu. Wallow made it interesting. Sorry he accidentally spawned with a vagina but good on you that you went with it.

I liked the others of yours that I knew. Topher and his magnificent beard and fabulous heels. Willow and... was it Nyara? Gabriel was creepy, especially when he kept appearing everywhere Pan went. I thought I had a stalker. Os-Car I secretly thought was a murderer because the few people I knew that accepted a ride from him never came back >.>. I never got a chance to get to know Tori but had a char that lived in Midgar for a long time (Conrad). I know I met others. Real sorry to see you go, Carrot Lord.

I can't remember the details about Coventina's relationship with Geese, but as far as I can remember, it was never physical. It could've developed in that way had he lived longer. She was in a dark place at the time and he was helping her see some light, but it was all undone once he died. It just made her more convinced that she was poison to anybody she cared about.

Met 3 of your's, Hommer - 2 briefly, 1 I actually got to know. Using quotes instead of asterisks for your emotes always gave away that they were the same player so I can't say I have any shock or awe in that regard.

I didn't meet any of the Carrot Lord's though. Just when I was thinking the world was too small for a full stable player to hide all their characters from me.

Only met Caleb in passing, but his influence spread beyond where he personally was. A mover and shaker indeed.

Carroot's characters were a joy to the world. I'll imagine the two Omeotians (one the sulky librarian, the other his pasionate flame) have retreated to their dungeons. There, rule they as masters over the dragon. (Heh.)

The others I knew were loved, hated, or begrudgingly allowed... be they potters, or commie tag-a-longs... laidback chauffeurs, or jaded friends on horseback. Never a dull moment and always a bright fire. Thank you.

I don't know.

I also know none of my characters were too relevant, but hey! If you want these stories, I can post them up later. Get them while they're hot.

I forgot to mention I played Draft of Morkikalas, or what do they call it these days, Freehaven? He's dead now. He found it better to run off into the wilderness without a shield and almost without food than tolerate his spawntown (there were two guys with weapons, and animals that could hit through his shield, but they both refused to lend a weapon so he could hunt every day, or even a single time. Apparently they were convinced that he would never give it back). He managed to find another shield and some food, but he got killed by an animal right after arriving in the forest. I was in bed when the travel tick happened, so there was no way I could've saved him. I waited three days in near death state in case someone would walk by and heal him, but of course no one came. He made it all the way across the mountains. If he had never stopped to gather resources or would've hidden in buildings during animal ticks, he could've made it further.

Doth Rak.

Sorry, ya'll. I was excited to play him, but he caused me not one, but two conflicts of interest. Can't go into detail for the second one, but the first is pretty damn obvious - Caleb had just died there  I can't believe the character I spawned after Caleb, appeared right there. Doth Rak was always intended to be a brutish, tribal warrior, but I instantly became limited in playing that out because I didn't want a neo-Caleb, which totally sucked the energy out of Doth.

I had high hopes for Doth to set up a training facility and become totally neutral in all matters, I had ideas around charging a fee where people needed to train in his building daily and if they trained each day for a week then they got a 50% refund (as a way of motivating people), amongst a whole bunch of other ideas.

edit: To explain the hand-event - because he spawned weaker than I hoped, I wanted to have him become one-handed, as a justification for his poor skill in combat and strength.

edit 2: I'm at least grateful that Caleb's threat of being reborn came true, albeit weaker, even though I couldn't roleplay that it was Caleb without breaking the rules/roleplay/reality :P (to be clear: I wouldn't ever roleplay that, I'm aware you can't "come back" through another character, just thought it was a fun idea that it kinda turned true)
